Need computer help

Computer crashed and had geeks reinstall windows xp and all that other stuff. My problem now is everything seems to be working fine but the site ( sportfisherman.com) is VERY SLOW changing from forum to forum and loading up. Any help would be appriciated.

Hey Len,

I would suggest to PM Jer and ask him. He'll probably be able to let you know exactly what settings you might have to tweek or if there are settings in your virus protection program you might have to change to optimize SFC.

That was my next step. This really @#*#@* if you know what I mean. How are you ,Chuck & Grady doing Oh yea your mom and pop as well?

You can try to Defragment
Compresses all your files
Seems to always run better after I do this
Really easy, try it


Click on the Start button (lower left on your screen)
Go to Control panel
Double click on Performance and Maintenance
Double click on Administrative Tools
Double click on Computer Management
Over on the left you will see Disk Defragmenter
Click on it
Another screen will come up
Click on Defragment
Let it run
It will take a little while (maybe and hour, depends on your computer) but it will tighten up all your files
It will make your computer run alot faster
