    Need advice guys

I’m kind of negotiating a relocation package with a big pharmaceutical company in the Raritan, NJ area . Would like to know things related to cost of life such as gas/diesel prices, housing prices, taxes (state and federal), price of groceries, near marinas with their respective prices for slips, dry stack, gas etc.

This I need to calculate what would I require to make the transition (money wise) in order to keep or better yet, improve my way of living….

I know you guys might think that I’m crazy for even thinking to leave the tropical paradise where I live in …truth is that, my line of work, pharmaceutical, is struggling a lot at this time and it doesn’t look it will get better in at least 2-3 yrs. So in order to keep paying the bills something has to be done….and quick ……therefore the request

Any intel will be greatly appreciated

Compared to PR..north Jersey is HIGH...VERY HIGH.... they have the cheapest fuel in the NE averaging about $2.80/gal for gas...not sure about marina fuel.

The cost of housing is also very high..... probably in the $400's for a decent house...nothing fancy.

Figure $600k for a 4 bedroom 2500 sf home in Bridgewater or Branchburg. Then add about $12k a year in property taxes (probably more - dunno). And don't forget the 7% NJ State income tax. But gas is about the cheapest in the country - big deal...

Oh yeah, and a 30 ft slip on the Manasquan will run about $7k for the season not including winter storage.
