need advice on NC Summer Family Vacation on our boat

every summer during the 1st week of august we travel on our boat to various places for a one week get away. Last year, Block Island and Martha's Vinyard, the year before, Nantucket and MV, before that, a couple trips in the Chesapeak. My 3 boys cornered me last season and said why all the Shoobie shopping Lets go to NC, Beach, fish etc. OK. So from Ocean City NJ, it's 8 hour run to Pirates cove. I'm thinking of putting up mom on days which I take the boys fishing. we need a pool and close access to the beach. I don't think there is much else around there. Then on to Hatteras. Dock the boat at Hatteras Harbor?? Where to stay, pool, beach access etc.
    looking for advise.

If you head a little further south, Wilmington is a great place to look at. Lots of shops, great beach, (Wrightsville) with lots to do for everyone.

I dont know Lee, Wilmington lost alot of shops in this economy..for me,I'd stick with Hatteras..or even further south and hit Charleston.

there are lots of condos in pirates cove that you can rent. I think its pretty expensive but they are all nice and they have a big pool and its about a 3 to 5 minute drive to the closest public beach access. Not to sure about hatteras though. I have been to odens dock and i know that there is a hotel right behind the slips but i dont know about a pool and beach access is also only a few minutes from there.

1985 45'. I dropped a couple C-12's in her and had an extreme makeover in 2008 at Jarrett Bay, so she not only has nice panties on, she screams 27 and tops at 34 kts) when you excite her.
Here are some more shots as we left Jarrett Bay on Memorial day 2008 including 1st blood as we fished the edge on the way up to Pirates Cove day one. No outriggers needed. I cant say enough for those nice folks at Jarrett Bay.
    Thanks for the compliments

I just racked my brain trying to find what you want.

If you joined the hatteras marlin club you would have the dock the pool and great people like homer the manager. Other then that I would say rent a house with pool near ocean and keep the boat at Odens dock, hatteras harbor marina, teaches lair or hatteras landing marina!!!!!!!!! Hatteras landing marina has motel condo rooms and a pool and its right across from the beach. I found you one******* And I happen to be from where your from. South jersey Ocean city. My wife thinks midget realty has this in their listing. We vacation there every memorial day week but two weeks. I trailer a pretty good size boat down there mostly.

I love Pirates cove, For me that is it. Great people, alot to see, and eat at the Lone Cedar. My new favorite restaurant. The owner is a super friendly guy. I think he is also a state senator. They should all be like him.
