Names

Life involves names... Given ones and then the nicknames we gather along the way. Terms of endearment so to speak... I think fewer than 10% of people call me by mt regular name , Paul, unless they are really pissed at me...
I heard something out of the corner of my ear at the marina during my daily boat check. I was busy barking at my mechanic to find a hole in his schedule to do some work I need done... I heard one of his workers make the comment... "Man he sounds like a skinny ass "Cartman"" It didn't bother me infact it was all I could do to keep my tyraid going and not burts out laughing...
In the few quiet moments I have had since then I drifted back through other things I have been called through the years... Starting in Key Largo I was known as Sailfish Sam... Sam was short for Sambo which I won't get into detail but you get the drift.
Islamorada knew me as Capt. Blue. I was the same way back then as I am now about getting bored with mundane evey day fish. I like blue marlin and would obsess over them...
Names of my boats stuck in some places. At Murray Brothers I was known as "walk about" or "lure boy"... "Walk about" came at me from two sides. I used to never sit. I was constantly doing eyeball inventory when I wasn't making lures. The other part was that I couldn't stay landlocked for long. It was an ausie term for taking a vacation for a while. Going "Walk About". A couple called me "lure boy for obvious reasons...
Lure boy stuck with me when I went solo. Especially in the bars where I used to trade some for drinks...
That name evolved to Compleat, where I spent a lot of time and my lure company's name...
Chub Cay the name Dr. Duct tape was used by a few of the natives for some of the patch jobs I did on a few peiople over the years using duct tape...
Here I'm the Deep after my boat...

my boss calls me buster brown....he says i look like buster brown from buster brown shoes because i used to have really ling hair....haha hi my name is buster brown and i live in a shoe...my dogs name is tide and he lives with me too

then in school everyone calls me turtle becuase i dont know if anyone watches entourage but i look just the then once character turtle....even the teachers call me turtle...i meet girls and they wont even no my name for maybe a couple months they just call me turtle

My first post on the internet was not keyed using all caps. Imagine that!........ I WAS HAMMERED BY THE FIRST INTERNET FISHING FORUM I EVER MESSED WITH: WATERMANBASH COM......THEY BITCHED SAYING THAT I WAS TRYING TO PICK UP CHARTERS....DU HUH YOU DUMB SHIT....DANG RIGHT I WAS.....HOW DO YOU THINK I CAN FIGURE OUT NEW WAYS AND TRICKS TO SHARE ON THE FISHING FORUM? CHARTER FISHING THATS HOW!!!.....OOPS SORRY SIDETRACKING AGAIN.....

I LEFT THAT SIGHT AND WENT TO TIDALCRAP....MY FIRST TWO POSTS I MADE WERE IN LOWER CASING...AND USING STANDARD INTERNET PROCEDURE CRAP .....MY FIRST TIP POSTED RECEIVED 3 REPLYS.......AND TO THIS DAY I CONSIDER IT TO BE MY FOREMOST IMPORTANT TIP AND LIVE BY IT STILL TODAY. THIS WAS NO GOOD AND A CHANGE NEED TO BE MADE!

WELL , BEING A GUY THAT GOES IN HEAD FIRST I SOUGHT A COMMUNICATION CHANGE....THEN I GEGAIN POSTIN STORIES WITH ALL CAPS..... ONE TIME I GOT RID OF ALL THE CAPS BUT SOON WENT BACK TO CAPS http://www.wahoonbox.com/videos/caps.wmv ...... WELL....THE DIRTY BOYS RESPONDED QUICKLY ON THIS SAYING THAT I WAS DISRESPECTFUL AND SHOULD FOLLOW INTERNET PROCEDURE........WELL MY BIG BUTT YOU KNOW WHAT GOOD THAT DID.....I TWERNT BEING DISRESPECTFUL....I JUST WASN'T GOING TO FISH THE WAY THEY DID "DOES THE USE OF LOWER CASING MEAN YOU ARE WHISPERING?" I ASKED......

AND THE NAME WAHOONBOX.....WELL ....I LOVED TO READ ZANE GREYS WESTERN NOVELS AS A KID ....AND I REMEMBER IN HIS BOOK "THE LAST OF THE PLAINSMAN" THAT HE AND SOME FRIENDS WERE HUNTING MOUNTAIN LIONS OUT WEST.....AND THEY NEEDED A FORM OF COMMUNICATION THAT THEY ALL COULD EASILY UNDERSTAND, LOUD 7 CLEAR ....WHILE SHOUTING ACROSS CANYONS TO ONE ONE ANOTHER, ZANE SAID : " LET'S HOLLER OUT THE WORD "WAHOO"....WAHOOOOOOOO......WHEN WE NEED TO GET ONE ANOTHERS ATTENTION

okay im in, during my first year of college, i joineed a fraterniity. My college grades were not that great, so my delta tau chi ( no really if was sig ep) was dumb ass. so it progressed over the college years to dumb, then ass, then finally DA. There is a funny story with this. bout 5 years after college we we had alittle renunion at a bar down in philly, of course they were calling me DA turner. This Blonde waitress, with an Iq less than mind, ( yes hard to believe) comes up to the table and says oh you work for the da's office, starts telling about her boyfriends ticket and could i fix it. I said, no mamm that would be unethical , and she leaves. These guys break out laughing so hard, i think halve of them pee'd themselves, then the manager throws us out for being to loud.
