Question N.J. Salt Water License ?

I don't know about anybody else feels about it , but if we're going to get it up the Rectum; I'd rather give the money to our home state and be able to keep two Stripers per man rather then just one according to Delaware's rules.

    What's everybody think?

    Rectum?

    Damn near killed em.

    Sorry - couldn't resist.

On a related note, I think any saltwater license is BS. Can you imagine running down the ICW from NY to FL and having to buy a license in any state you drop a line in. Give me a break. It's going to cost them more in enforcement and beuracracy than the fees will generate... I think.

    Ugh

NJ license or not, if the enforcement is anything like what it is here on the NY-NJ border then if you're in DE waters then you're only allowed one fish. I fish Raritan Bay and while NJ allows 2 fish, if I'm across the line or even near it then the NY DEC can hit me for being over the limit. It's considered a possession limit so it's not where you're from or where you're going, but what the regs are wherever you get stopped.

Guess it depends on what you get for your money and how soon you're willing to part with it.

If the money is going back directly to improve the fishery - great. If it's going into some pet project in the state, that's a different story.

I don't understand why fishermen let their state agencies and legislators get away with passing laws that force them to pay fees (licenses) now for something that the feds will do for free until 2011.

    The problem is location!

The biggest problem with fighting the bastards is their choices of locations for the meetings we have to attend!! They're always on a week night in some far off land. I can't speak for everyone , but as for me I work 5 ten hour days and 8 on Saturday. I have trouble getting started in the morning as it is without driving all over the country the night before.
