My rant about OVERRATED tackle and gear...

And when that happens...yes...you can bet your ass i'll be catching more fish...

Well we all need something to complain about from time to time. Here is my take on the comments...

Pelagic Gear: They give me a discount and my clothing budget is not getting any bigger. I do like the shorts but they are not the only company who makes them that way.

Butterfly Jigs: If you can catch fish on it, then they are worth it. If not stick to what works for you.

Fluorocarbon: If it brings me ONE more bite throughout the day then it is worth the money in my opinion. Plus I get it for free, and yes I still would purchase it if I had to.

Visors: My head gets too hot in a hat and gives me headaches. Plus I get them free by the dozens.

Accurate: Don't use them, but they sure look nice.

Now about the comment from someone on the button up vented fishing shirts being over rated. You must have never worn one. Let me tell you they can make all the difference on a hot summer day. My personal favorite is the Hook and Tackle Air X shirts. On a steamy Caribbean day you will stay cool with the sleeves down and vents open. SPF 30 protection, ultra quick drying (they even repel light spray) and have great stain resistance. I mean you can rinse the blood right out with fresh water, do that with your $5 cotton t-shirt.

Simply put, Josh is doing his job and I totally repsect that. Hes defending Pelagic because he has to. I on the otherhand, I have nothing at stake when I say something
