This is my rant ! !

After several hours of research on the Internet and calling several dealers about my deck belt on my 2000 series cub cadet tractor, I'm no closer to finding out the info then when I started. Why is it when you ask a simple question like ( I would like a 1/2 inch x 103 inch V-belt ) do I get the dear in the headlights look. No I don't have a make or model, no it's not a 6 cylinder and no it doesn't have air. I asked a very specific question and all I get is the run around. I know exactly what I want and why should it matter what the application is. Is it too much to ask to get what I want. Just like Auto batteries, there are only a few makers of belts. Does john Deere make belts, NO. Does Cub cadet make belts, NO. Does Kubota make belts, NO. They all go to the same few manufactures and purchase them for their products, like I want to. The dealer wanted 46.00 bucks for the belt. A local building contractor wearhouse wanted 15.02, THATS MY POINT. Instead of ordering the belt and waiting 4 days for it, I went local (after pulling teeth) and bought the same belt for less then half and didn't have to wait.

    Wshoooo! ! ! OK I feel better.

I've been having alot of issues too. Your not the only one, but it is a shame of how you can't get a straight answer out of some people.

    Full moon

All I wanted was the length of the belt so I could cross reference it. Mine slipped sooo bad that the heat built up and caught some dry grass on fire that was sitting on top of my deck. Due to the melting, I didn't have an accurate belt to measure from. Is Customer Svc really that bad or is it just me?

    It's really that bad!!!
There are some places that are on top of things, but alot of others are parts changers and only work with part numbers found in a computer.

I have the same problem with a tractor I bought. I bought it used from an individual but the local dealer never has anything in stock and are so stupid they can't even tell me the price for a item until it arrives. Needless to say I don't deal with them anymore. For some people its just a job and they don't care about the customers because its not there business that is losing the money.

    Thanks

Napa Hugh! I'll remember that next time I need a 12v bulb or a belt or a conector, ect. That would be great not to get the third degree about what I'm doing. Most of the thime they wouldn't understand anyway.

It's funny, they call the US a service economy now

Are you fricken' kidding me...almost anything you do now takes an act of Congress to get it done.

I just recently moved and it has taken 6 phone calls to straighten out my cable bill IDIOT'S...............

I just had to switch my insurance to an individual plan....Don't even get me started.....7 weeks and counting for them to O.K. my health insurance that I had with them for a year previously with a company plan IDIOTS...

Service Economy my ass...what a fricken contradiciton in terms

Whew...thanks for that ..I feel much better

    One On The Mortgage Companies

My last mortgage company sent me a notice saying that I had missed a payment. I called them up and said Oh Really, which one? They said two years ago and you have been paying your mortgage late for the past 23 months. I said OH REALLY, so how much do I owe you now? They said 23months of late fees at 45.00 bucks a pop, which my wife was paying along with the mortgage payment, (she thought it was the normal amount.) I said O H R E A L L Y ! ! to the tune of 1035.00. I said, and your just now getting around to telling me? I went back to my filing cabinet and pulled out not 23 months but 36 months of cancelled checks and photocopied them and sent them to the Mortgage Company. Not only were they shocked that I kept records, but to boot they had failed to credit one of my payments and were pissed that they now have to refund me all the late payments fees. Needless to say I welcomed the refund check of 1035.00 and pointed out that I was thankful that they caught the error. On Them ! !
