great looking Lab...
we potty trained our lab really quick with a small bell beside the back door. everytime we gave her food or water we would get her all excited and say 'lets go potty outside'...then we would ring the bell with her foot... after going outside she would pee or poop and we would tell her how good a girl she was.. after a hundred times of this it worked great! I do have a feeling with that 1 though you will go through some shoes! all the best!
Congrats AG, GREAT Looking pup.
AWESOME Christmas addition to your Family.
good luck with your new pup. he is absolutely beautiful. i have 2 chocolate labs, male and female. they have my heart. labs have been the most popular dog in the u.s. for 17 years.
Thanks for the INTEL tunatamer...I'll keep an eye out!
Thanks!!

He's not a bell ringer yet, but he does go to the door when it's time and he's coming to his name already.
Thanks clt_capt...I've always admired your pup as well!!
My first chocolate...all others have been black. He does have a very...VERY faint thin white/yellow "T" shaped marking on his chest. I'll try to get a better picture of it later. Yea, he's already nibbling on my heart as well.![]()
I know it's been a while since I've had a puppy, but damn they grow quick...both in stature and how quickly they become such an important part of your family and life. Here are a few pic's of Hooper...just a few days over 8 weeks old.![]()
good looking pup for sure.
It's amazing how fast they grow. I know what you mean about becoming part of the family so fast. It seems like we have had our puppy forever.
He'll think he is a lapdog for life, but it won't be long until he is pushing you off the couch!!!
Looking great - keep posting updates.
It's amazing Ted...I couldn't have asked for a better pup. He's been "adopted" by my female Boston Terrier and I think having a "pal" around really has eased the transition from the liter to my house. He's content in the crate at night, almost 100% house broken and is coming to his name. Of course he's retrieving his favorite "duck" toy which has me so excited about future training. The crate is getting moved from the bathroom to my bedroom since he's not whining at night anymore. He's vet appointment is on the 23rd and I'm getting him "chipped". Thanks again for the book's...they've come in handy. Hope your New Year is going well.
Jesse
I told myself I was gonna keep this one off the sofa...YEA RIGHT!Although I will admit, he seems more content (right now) as long as he is on the ground...by my feet. The only problem with that is the occasional "nip" at my feet...damn...puppy teeth are sharper than a Mustad fishing hook!!
