Nope, over on 28th street.

I hope Chappy fully recovers. He is a handsome boy and obviously an established family member. Labs eat everything and anything.
Brady got into something about two months back that caused an allergic reaction. His face was so swollen he looked like a Sharpei. He was sleeping in our shower (which is not normal) so I went to check on him and noticed the deformity. His eyes were just about closed and his lips were thick and hard and breathing was heavy. I called an emergency vet and asked if I could give him benedryl. Turns out that that is one of the few medications you can give to a dog. I gave him one and fed him ice for the next hour and he responded. I would have sold my fishing gear to pay the vet bills if that is what it would have taken to get him well. He was lucky. I hope Chappy is as well.
On a lighter note....last week Brady discoverd the neighbors stash of dog food stored in their garage. He proceeded to eat a 5-pound bag in one sitting. He looked like he swallowed a watermelon. I'm sure I'll find that pile in the yard in the spring.
Looking forward to your "All is well with Chappy" update.
Koa means more to me than most of the people around me, So I know that Chappy means the same to you - Prayers sent.
No doubt they will eat ANYTHING...I remember in the early 80's I bought my dad a black lab pup for Christmas. Anyways we lived out in the country and it was typical for my mother to dump used cooking oil out in the driveway (dad said it killed weeds). Anyways we got up one morning to find 4 or 5 mucus covered little puppy chow/rock piles on the kitchen floor. I guess "Gunner" around 4 months old, went outside to do his business, smelled the cooking oil in the gravel and got to munching. Lucky for him he threw them up...I don't want to think about the damage they would do going through him.
Last thing...I think we all look forward to the Chappy's all better update!
Guys,
First off I want to thank you all for the prayers and words of encouragement for Chappy. He is doing very well. They removed a sandwich bag full of string from his intestines on Tuesday. Today he is out trying to chase the kids around the yard.
The biggest challenge we now face is keeping him slowed down enough so that he doesn't hurt himself or burst any of the stitches.
So far it is a remarkable recovery. It is nice to be young!!! Thanks for your emotional support.
Mike
That's great news. Glad to hear he is better. Good luck keeping him calm until the stitches come out
