I would think it's just puppy stuff.... just having a good time.
It's the funniest thing to watch...hopefully I can figure out a way to post a video up showing him, hopping around in circles, banging into stuff, it's hilarious!!!

Does he stop if you try throwing a ball or other toy for him? Or stay focused on the tail?
BTW, good luck w/him!!! Hooper is gorgeous and I love the name!
It's not non-stop...but when he get's going...WATCH OUT!!! A furry, brown, 50lb, hopping sit-n-spin flying across the living room floor!! I'm biased, but I think he's purdy too...and the name seems to have fit since day one!! Although, if he keeps this tail chasing thing up I might reconsider...hmmm..."Dizzy Dean"?

    Wow...

    He's getting big.

We need a video of him chasing his tail.

Good looking pup right there. Thanks for the update.

Looking good Ag... He is growing up fast. Doesn't look like you will have any water issues with him...

I'm work'n on the video Ted...of course I don't think about the camera until after the dust settles and the laughter stops...by then it's too late. He's so long and lanky right now, I'm not sure how much taller he's going to get, but he's probably going to push 90+lbs when it's all said and done.

Well Fred when we first went down he walked in and started smacking the water with his paw obviously confused because it wasn't holding his weight. A few minutes later I threw the ball and he jumped into a area with a deep drop off and went under...popped up and swam around. I think that startled him a little bit, but he kept going in. Oh yea, I don't have any pictures, but he's done some laps in the hot tub as well...now that is some funny stuff...acting like a ESPN Dock Dog jumping from one side to the other.

He IS a good looking pup. I love the length of his legs. They are so funny at that stage.

BTW- for what it's worth, keep him on the food your vet reccomends. Cheaper is not always better at this young age and he seems to be doing great on what he's eating.

Thanks tuna for the comments...but...the food I was referring to in the other thread was not cheaper. It was a all natural brand that a fellow dog lover recommended and vet confirmed. Trust me...Hooper is eating the highest quality food I can find, it's being introduced in appropriate increments and honestly he is probably eating better than I am. Btw...your spot on about the legs, especially when I get home and he's walking towards me with his whole body shaking back and forth swaying from side to side with his tail...priceless!!!
