We just got two black lab puppies too! Emma and Marlin..

Sweet, I can't wait to get Hooper on his first boat ride...heck, I can't wait for a boat ride myself!! I'm about done with "middle america"...too much fresh water out here, I need an ocean or bay...soon!!!

Just a little update on my pup...damn they grow quick!!!

Man, just looking at Hooper shows that he's one of those real smart ones. He looks so serious, too!

Fred, that chocolate girl looks just like a little kid in that photo. Man, is she cute as hell, or what?

And speaking of looking at dolphins, here's a story about my Shadow Girl when she was just a tiny pup. I had taken a gringo boat charterboat owner from my dock out who wanted to see Superbars in action after we returned from a charter early because the tunas had beaten the crap out of our party for the day. We ran back out to the area. The seas were rough as hell and the tuna area was loaded with speckled and spinner dolphin. Shadow Girl was down in the cockpit when we got into the area and hadn't seen the dolphins when she put her paws up on the gunnel, stretched up as far as she could go and suddenly, several dolpins flew over her head, right alongside. Her head shot up and she jumped back on the deck and looked at us up on the bridge with this wide-eyed, terribly shocked look on her face, then she squatted and for the first and last time ever, pooped on the deck with that same look of shock on her face.

My buddy and I almost peed in our pants over the look on her face and her pooping in her pants over seeing those flying dogs, or devils, or whatever the poor little thing thought they were. It was funny as hell! She went on to loving the dolphins and actually formed a relationship with an old pod leader that I named Lilly and wrote about in Shadow Girl and my novel, Grim Ripper. THAT was magical!

And so was she.

Hooper is getting so big....

He's a great looking pup.

Time goes so fast.... Chopper is 6 months already, on one hand it feels like we just got him.... on the other... it feels like he has been with us forever.

Chopper and I are heading down to the marina today to start working on the boat. I'm sure he will be covered in creek mud before the day is over....

Well Chopper found the creek mud today.


Then all he wanted to do was sit in the shop by the coal stove. He wasn't much help with the boat... that's for sure
