I know a guy built one that threw the squirrels into the dogs chain-link fence enclosed kennel (about 20 X 20). Even though he'd alert the dogs with a low whistle before shooting the squirrel into (or mostly towards) the pen, the dogs never actually caught one.

I told him to buy some dove shot and have the wife shoot it over him for target practice before the upcoming dove season.

Looks effective, but kind of boring. I expected to see squirrel launching sling shots, car batteries and various other medievel contraptions with motion activated cameras to catch all the action. You need to spice it up a little for our entertainment.

Get you a couple of cats to guard the garden. They will catch the squirrels, dig a hole in the dirt to fertilize then replant your turnips when they cover the fertilizer up.

instead of mesh, you could hang a couple pictures of a hawk or a Rotweiler next to the garden, or hang a dead squirrel by the tail.

Overall, your garden is like the new self-contained chicken coup I built on axles and wheels so I could move it around the farm, it is a little over the top but I enjoyed building it!

Maybe we should go into the Garden Box-Chicken House business? That could give you the job someone recommended?

Alright Mikey.....we need to add a little red neck wiley coyote sh!t to this here garden, my first suggestion would be to replace the mono with monel.....you dont have any old wire line trolling outfits laying around?......next on the list is 2 -12 volt batteries wired in series and a pair of jumper cables....you get the drift. Now watching a squirrel get lit up has its entertainment value......if you really want entertainment I suggest you open up the spacing of your wire grid so its just barely big enough for them to get in......why you might ask....I am trying to keep them out.....remember the game called operation? the only thing missing is a red light and a buzzer.
