What else could explain my wife's statement to me just moment's ago. Let me first preface this with, this is a woman that buy's NO excuse for me not to work everyday! She's about as much of a hardass as they come. We were just talking lightly about the candidate's and how the moron's in DC can't get their act together. Somehow she came up with this; well how else are all those "poor people" gonna get the health care they DESERVE???? What are you kinding me DESERVE?????? The only citizen's that DESERVE anything are our honorable serving and discharged VET'S, in my book. Now she come's off this this stance that all the "lame and lazy" DESERVE healthcare.

She spend's most of her day's at a non-profit clothing store, that takes all the proceed's and buy's food for the elderly that really CAN'T help themselve's. I am 100% behind that, they all love this woman (who I no longer know) to death. She dood's over them, to the point that sugar wouldn't melt in her mouth. But there are other's that they help too, I call them her "peep's". She can't see through the fact that they are just plain lazy, "oh no, they just don't know any better". Well of course I pipe up, cut off their chow and they'll learn how to work! You know just like me.

Look's like it may be a LONG Christmas holiday around here after all. Why can't I just learn to keep my mouth shut??? At least around her. It's alien's I tell ya, alien's!!!!!! I'm now stuck out in the shop rebuilding 2 engine's with my tail tucked between my leg's, tryin' to figure out "what I meant to say". And a Merry Christmas to you too! Frank

As you might imagine, I take your wife's side. Sure, there are lazy folks out there who are parasites. But they are far less numerous than you seem to believe. Contrariwise, those who are disadvantaged through no fault of their own are far more numerous than you seem to believe.

Some time ago and on this board, I attributed this curious juxtaposition in conservative's minds to innate authoritarianism. I think it's still true.

LongFisher, let me know next time you're in the area. I'd be more than happy to take you on an expense free tour of what I see daily. No one ever said (if they did they were lying) that life is fair. There are way too many people that (by today's standard's) shouldn't have "made it", but somehow they did. Those folk's I scincerely tip my hat too! In my opinion, there's really NO reason for a man not to make something of himself. With all the education offered at the expense of Fed and State dollar's, joining the military and simply not getting off your lazy behind........ Mighty funny how these "dis-infranchised" people don't have enough sense (or business experience) to make an honest living, BUT can build a drug dealer's empire.
