Mulberry, Lakeland County Florida ???

I will be going up to visit my wifes father in January and he lives in Mulberry Florida. I was wondering if anyone on here from florida knows of any good charters or party boats that i can jump on that is not to expensive that are somewhat near by. I will be there for 11 days and I am allergic to cats and he has like 6 of them so it will be a good excuse for me to get out of the house and do some fishing. But really would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction , maybe a webpage or if someone knows anyone. If i have to i will drive an hour away or so.

There's the Miss Virginia out of Tarpon (Tampon) Springs. It's a head boat but I understand she does well. There's the Viking line that goes to the middle grounds and can get there in short order. They do 36 hour and longer trips.

is he near the town of lakeland, or in lake county? if its lakeland, look up stuff in the tampa area. if its lake county, you're pretty much in the middle of the state and could do east coast or gulf coast gigs

Thanks Fishin, i think the Miss Virginia looks perfect, good price and goes for a bunch of different fish. That looks like the one. How far from there are you, once i talk to the wife and get the day that i am going to go , i will let you know if you have nothing going on maybe you can come on out and we can fish. Just a thought. Thanks, for the response. I am not very familiar with florida, but he lives in Mulberry and its in Lakeland County. Looks like the Miss Virginia that Fishin mentioned looks perfect , so will probably go out on her. Same goes for you Floridadeckie if your not far and you can make it out, we can have a SF.com meet and fishing party hahaha

Lakeland is in Polk County which also is relatively in the middle of the state. It's one of the largest counties in the state. Lake county is further north and has cities like Leesburg and Eustis. Both counties are known for thier Large mouth bass fishing.

I've had a run in or two with the the Miss V. She'll butt in your space if your near a site she wants on. Overall, it's a decent head boat.

I'm a Monday to Friday kind of guy, so I'd need a little heads up before you book her.
