    Keflex

Is Keflex stll worth a darn? I used to carry it with me everywhere when traveling...'course what didn't I have in my shave-kit.
The wahoo dorsal spines were my most often offender.
Bleach and keflex and glad to see Hibiclense came up that stuff is a must on all boats...healed a wahoo bite in like 3 days after a 68 #'er passed by knee with a slight nick that laid it open with white string coming out....pushed e'm back in and scrubbed down in shower with Hibicleanse and it was like magic.

pretty effective but if the infection progresses in spite of treatment get in quickly for a wound culture and professional attention.

W have a similar, but deadly, deal here in Texas that attacks a number of fishermen each year. I found this article on line which describes it... Vibrio Vulnificus. (this and other reasons are why I DO NOT wade fish like most Texans do... my arse stays in the boat).

Had it a couple years ago when I had my ears lanced for cauliflour ear during wrestling season. Doc told me to go back to wrestling so I did, he never told me I HAD to wear my headgear. It hurt like hell in the ear and ended up leading to cholestotoma in my right ear, damn near killing me.

Yeah MRSA is a nasty thing. I am An Athletic Director and Football Coach and MRSA can run rampent in sports programs with sharing of pads, open wounds. It kinda starts off looking like a spider bite then turns into a nasty boil that they say hurts like hell. Just keep things as clean and antibacterail and antifungal as possible.

I have had 3 on my leg. and one of my hip. It always looks like a spider bite or even a bigger zit. If you get the core out early you will be alright. But I always go to the ER just to make sure.

It happens when most when your immune system is low. When I was working last summer I was waking up at 5 or 6 am and working until 11 pm. 7 days a week. We were so busy I was only eating 1 meal a day. And that was at around 11 pm at night.

Let just say i was 215 lbs and now im 160. haha but i think thats the way i got it. I'm def going to be more careful this year, and eat a lot more.
