Moving to Seattle...need some fishing help!!

    Hey guys,
Im moving to Seattle for the summer. I am a NC boy moving way west and know NOTHING about the fishing but am excited to learn. Any suggestions?

I'm carrying my light tackle rod and fly rod out with me.

If anyone needs a hand on a boat on the sound or on the coast over the summer, let me know!

    Thanks a lot,
    CFM

CFM, hit the Hood Canal Bridge in late summer for some Coho (Silver salmon) right now King salmon (Chinook, the biggest) are running in the rivers and the Sound. If your in a Boat the South side of Whidbey Island is a good place. If bait is there you will see alot of boats.
If shore fishing, Point no Point is the place. Pink salmon run in the odd years, so you can catch them too.
For pinks, use a light Pt wilson dart. (2 ounces). The only color that works for them is pink. These jigs go fast so get some right away when you get there.
Kings and silvers will hit Rooster tails, spoons and casting jigs. Color depends on what is popular that year, but green and nickel, and blue and nickel, and silver work good.

    Good luck,
    Dave

If you get the chance, you should go down and fish the Columbia river in Oregon. There are some monster sturgeon, plus good salmon fishing. It is well worth the 3 hour drive.
