Morehead to Hatteras

I will be heading to Morehead on Jan. 5th for a few days of fishing and some on shore recon. Just wondering how long of a drive is it from Morehead to Hattras via the Cedar Island Ferry.

I think its about 30-45 minute ferry ride to Ocracoke.

Then its a couple hours to Cedar island on the ferry.

Then its about an hour drive to MHC. Just head up HWY 70.

Count on at least 5 hours for the trip. You can drive around in less time.

What they said. It's a nice drive/ride either way. The ferries are free (I think).

Small world, I grew up in Guilford and moved to Clinton Ten years ago. If you fished up here I probably know some of the same guys. Smart move giong to N.C., snow will be up here soon enough.
