Thumbs down More Than Just Rain

This is silly... Once in a very long while we get rain after the rainy season thats usually over in October. Sometimes we get a bit early to mid November thing with the national weather changing and early cold fronts. Again we get "rats tails" that stream down off spring time blizzards. This time of year is almost always drier than a British joke.
Not this year. We're still seeing weather pushing high eighties through most of the week then a rainy day as a front tries to push through. The last couple weeks though its been almost a summer thunderstorm pattern. Then for the last three days it has been a friggin deluge. I tried to get stuff done on the boat but just too rainy. Went over to the room of death to perhaps straighten some of the clutter in there but the streets in and out were pretty well flooded. Kept an eye on the radar hoping for a break. All day the same blob sat right on top of us. 8 inches worth of soggy.
Weather is starting to at least move but is getting worse and spreading. Now running whole coast and filling the Miami radar top to bottom. Have some interior projects tomorrow but then I'm ready to haul out...

This isn't just rain its wear a snorkle and mask kind of wet. When the sun comes out its hot. When it rains though it gets cold quick.
Three time in the last 25 years I have seen this kind of thing go way way out of whack. Twice we had 23 inches of rain in like 12 hours and one was 31 inches in about 26 hours... We've had 8.5 since ten o clock this morn and looks like we'll add a few more right quick.

Would you rather have this? I'm supposed to land in this crap at 4:30 PM Saturday afternoon at BWI. Great way to end a three day trip and kick off the holidays. At least I won't have to take off in it.

Latest Eastern Snowfall Forecast...A Must See
    Updated: Thursday, December 17, 2009 2:58 PM

From later Friday into Saturday, it's going to snow like crazy in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and southern New Jersey, where snow accumulations could easily reach 10 or 12 inches. This will cause a serious disruption of all forms of travel through the region, including big delays at the major airports in Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia.

The worst of the storm may stay south of New York City and New England, but that is not a given at this time. This is going to be a very strong storm, and sometimes these things manage to get farther north than what computer models might suggest. It would be no surprise if heavy snow managed to get into New York and southern New England on Saturday. This we will watch very closely.

To the north and west from north central Pennsylvania back across the Ohio Valley snowfall will definitely be lighter, probably no more than a couple inches.

No question ist crappy up there. We get the wet soggy ends of those storms that go racing up the eastern seaboard... This one though has been persistant. 20 inches in three days sucks and comming harder and faster than ever now...
My issue is not getting stuff done that I want and need to get done. Two boats worth. Not much hard stuff. Just time consuming. I have people comming to the Keys for Christmas and the Boss from Christmas through new years... "Sorry boss don't have time to take you fishing cause I gotta paint the bottom on the big boat after I get done replacing the rudders..." That wouldn't be a good thing at this time...

Rain like this causes a ton of wrecked cars. Flooding of roads sets up hydroplaning or flat out drowning a car. My kid is out working in this crap and I am praying I don't get another call.
