they have been threatening to unleash the twic's for a while now... before i graduated, i thought i was gonna be issued one rite off the bat. they are still playing with it. if you look in the coast guard proceeding publication that htey send out, there are always updates about how great its gonna be, but never a issuing date or anything like that. and 750,000 is a gross understatement.... when they hatched this nugget, they didnt realize how big it was gonna need to be.

i got my ear to the ground on this, but im not convinced its happening for a while yet

I saw this some time ago also. Just think, now you can go into secure areas of your port. Now the fee is only $132.50 .... Who the F%^&*( came up with this figure). Take that and multiply that by 750,000......... Now where does that money go? Man, I love this country, but why penalize the citizens for what some terrorist do. I think if you are in a secure port, it might be necessary, but I really don't think that anyone here or in Hatteras really want to blow up anything... I mean what would you blow up?....
