Month Long Fishing Trips?

I was talking to one of my Capt's about a trip out West some where, I think he told me California has it. I guess you go out on a large head boat for about a month at a time. Mostly catching Tuna I guess. Anyone know anything about this? I dont really want to go, I just wanted to look it up. I was curious about it..

Thanks

shogunsportfishing.com and look for the Clipperton adventure. Every sportfishermen on the planet should try this before they die. It is a truly unique place. The most isolated, uninhabited island in the world. It also has giant cow yellowfins and more wahoo than you care to reel in. Google the island and check out its history. It is prehistoric and the trip of a lifetime

There's a whole fleet out of San Diego that focuses on long range trips - anywhere from 5 days to 20 Some days...

They fish down into mexico... A little of everything - Yellowtail, Tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, Bills...

For some info, here are some sites;

Clipperton island is an awesome place. Went there in 1985 while crewing aboard the Red Rooster III then again in 90 on the Polaris Supreme. Mike is right the wahoo are stacked like cord wood. The YFT were toads and fought harder then their brothers to the north. Not many trips down there in the last few years due to the fabulous tuna fishing the fleet has encountered on the lower banks plus the French government has been issuing only couple of permits a year to fish the island. Long trip but worth it if they start running them again.
