I have a question for you guys and girls...

I live in Texas and was wondering if it is legal to raise my own minnows? I already raise worms, but I want to use minnows too. They will not be for sale, just for my family...

Anyone know if it is legal or not? Remember, I'm in Texas (no jokes here) and I know our rules are quite different than the rest of the country...

Any help will be appreciated!

Can't answer for Texas but in NC you can...

I don't see why it would be illegal usless you are raising a non native species. We have quite a few members on here from Texas that might know for sure.

No non-native spacies, just plain ole lake minnows...lol Tired of the prices we have to pay around here so decided to try to raise my own... did the same thing with worms...almost have too many now..lol

Sometimes that may be true, but what if it a "per fish" fine? OUCH!
