    Michael Vick is an Eagle?

Can't believe this thread hasn't started already with all the Eagles fans here.

After moving to Eagles territory (as a Die Hard Giants Fan) I really tried to adopt them. Every time I got close they let me down (typically coach or QB failures). After putting Vick on the team it's over for me and I've got to believe there are a lot of disappointed Eagles fans out there.

Frankly I can't believe they would make such a move. Even if it was a great deal, it seems like they have a lot more to lose, than to gain. I will say without hesitation that even though I don't have one, I love dogs. A dogs ability to dedicate itself to someone and stand by them regardless of situation is amazing and it really ticks me off to think of someone abusing them for thrills. That's not a character trait that's fixed with community service and it's not a character I can come close to cheering for on Sundays.

I predict that in about 24 hours they will hire a sensible PR person who will try and spin this for damage control but I won't be buying it. The damage is done.

I hope the team falls apart completely with this.

THEY'RE AN EVEN BIGGER BUNCH OF BUMS NOW. THEY HAVE ZERO MORALS AND ARE REPREHENSIBLE TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE. THEY SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED.

WHEN IS ENOUGH GOING TO BE ENOUGH WITH THESE WIPES THAT GET A PASS AFTER DOING WRONG? I THINK THEY SHOULD HIRE CHARLES MANSON AS THEIR PR GUY.

I don't agree with the dog fighting - but the man did do his time for the crime. He did not get a huge paycheck to sign with the team, he got a second chance which anyone deserves.

Football is about business. This will draw attraction to the team, some may be negative, but many will tune in to watch like a car wreck along the highway. Reid plays him a little and he does well, now they have the ace in their hand to either keep or trade him. He plays poorly they only spend a mil on him which is chump change to NFL.

The man went from the top of the world with millions to sitting in jail, bankrupt and kissing ass for a job. We will have to wait and see what kind of man he is...

No offense guys, but where is the ouctry about Leonard Little and Dante Stallworth? Both killed PEOPLE while drunk driving. Yet they received half the outcry Vick did. Little is playing now, and Stallworth got 30 days in jail and a 1 year suspension. Vick has done two years in jail. If he wasn't a big name player we would have never heard about it.

I don't agree with what Vick did, but lets be realistic here. The NFL is filled with criminals some have beat up women, some have killed people, and committed various other crimes. As a society we tend to elivate animals higher than human life. Mike Vick did his time and it doesn't bother me much that he is playing for the Eagles. Will I buy his Jersey? no! Will I stop being an Eagles fan? NO

The way I look at it, I'm not elivating animals, I'm wondering about the psychology of the person that could do such things to animals AND humans. Mistakes happen, but this was premeditated over months and years. And yes, maybe it was a part of his "culture". But come on, he knew what he was doing was not right.

as in many other stadiums....i am sure Vick will not get a warm greeting @ FedEx when the Eagles play the Skins......

guess will see some of the PETA crowd that likes to be seen at fishing tourneys now at NFL stadiums around the league....

I think what he did was horrible, whether he was personally involved or not however with that said he didn't get a slap on the wrist he did 2 years hard time which most athletes don't do PLUS his suspension from the NFL.

In comparasin to Leonard Little and Donte Stallworth he has really felt the pain.

On another subject but related, how can the justice system be bought. Donte Stallworth killed someone drinking and driving but yet he only got 30 days in jail, a lifetime suspension of his drivers license and a 1 year suspension from the NFL. WTF is that to a guy who banks mega millions. The excuse was that he basically bought it by settling with the family on a tremendous amount of money. Disgusting to be honest

Would we get the same treatment from the court system? I think not. That is the case that should have everyone up in arms

I'm a die hard birds fan, but I will not be watching even one snap this season. All I keep hearing is how he has great mentors behind him like Tony Dungy, and Andy Reid. Lets put that in prospective. Reid has 2 kids in jail, and they were living under his own roof....he wasn't able to control them. And to avoid being a cold hearted human I won't review Dungy's mentoring stats.
