Any one know of a reasonable, safe place to stay during Miami boat show week?

HAHAHA Good luck Neil that is a tough one I have paid 400 dollars a night to still have a shit hotel.
I stayed at the Dorset Hotel last year it was on a scale 1-10 a 7 walking distance to the show, clean not to shabby. I think it was 400?
Lowes is the best along with Foutain Blue but $$$$$
Days Inn Miami don't bother I think they told me to go to walmart when I asked for a hair dryer and I condo hopped the rest of the week because it was horrible.
Best Western I think was OK I think Yamaha put thier guys in there last year.
There is a place just up the block from the dorset hotel where friends stayed it was an apartment style the name is close to Dorset so I always mess it up I will see if I can get the name of it.
Nikki Beach Condos are nice parking on the premises
We rented a big house for the show this year because it was more cost effective.
If you will have a rental car the best place to park it is the municipal lot next to the show, they have over night parking as most smaller hotels charge 30 bucks for 1/2 day and do not have overnight parking. It was under 60 bucks for 4-5 days
If I think of anything else I will let you know. If you need anything give a yell
Mary:

Yes Contender will be there again this year inside at the Convention Center in its normal spot as far as I know. We do have an in water display but it is not part of the show, over at Miami Beach Marina with at least a dozen or more boats in the water. If you come in to the booth we will point you to the Contender shuttle to the marina
I think I've eliminated one hotel from my list. The continental, here are the reviews:
needs to close
i will not stay in that hotel never again, even if it's for free
bad experience
The facility needs improvement and (some) of the front desk personnel needs to improve their work ethics when dealing with guests
Needs Improvement
The staff was very friendly and very helpful, but the hotel itself was disgusting. The lobby and bar were roped off and it looked like a crime scene. We were given the wrong room at first. I had reserved 1 room with 2 beds for 4 people and even paid an extra guest fee of $20, $10 per person. We eventually got switched to a new room with 2 beds. The room was very dirty, we did not have any toilet paper when we arrived, and the it was very hot in the room like the AC was not working.
Scary
This hotel was completely disgusting. Stains on the walls, wallpaper falling off, etc. I can't believe that this hotel would actually allow people to stay in rooms like that
Needs refurbishing
The hotel is convenient and the staff try to be friendly and helpful The condition of the room was appalling. Wallpaper partially stripped from the walls. Dirty streaks and marks on walls. Large tears in carpet, lamps didn't work, blowdryer didn't work, no glasses/cups, minimal towels, poor mattresses. WE saw three different couples refuse to check in when they saw the rooms. We stayed because there were no rooms close by. I have traveled all over the US and abroad and this room was among the worst I've seen
Horrible
This hotel was discusting. It was unclean, the appliances in the room did not work. The air was broken in 90 degree weather. Someone walked into our room with a key during our stay when we were sleeping. The attendants and owners were exremely rude. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone.
Worst place I've ever stayed
Everything about the hotel was horrible
Dirty Dirty Dirty
This hotel is disgusting. The walls need painted, our bed was sagging in the middle, our window was duck taped together, the tv only picked up 2 channels and still had lines through it, BEWARE OF THE ELEVATORS!!! Someone got stuck in there for 30 mins once. They shake like you would not believe! We were terrified of falling from the 12th floor!
Thank God for friends in Fort Lauderdale, I leave to get to the show 2 hours early anyway. I like to hit the starbucks and stare at the really strange people out walkin around. They look alot different than the ones I dealt with when i was a Deputy in West Palm Beach, although there are some memorable ones there also.I think I may sleep in my booth with my artwork in the Big Game room. Ive woke up in worse places!

I'm in the 2nd room closest to the big room when you come up the escalator booth 2123. I offer my artwork on 4 inch tile, 6 inch tile and 8x10. If I do a custom job for a customer we usually use a 4" tile to do the mural, backsplash etc... I have 8x10 , 9 x 12 and 18 x 24 framed tile. Any of the artwork can be added to the tiles.![]()
