Smile Memorial Day Weekend at Bimini

Ok the plane wreck is behind me... Now for a report of the insanity that is Memorial Day at Bimini...
Started yesterday. Boats inbound... Steady stream. Slips filling at a blistering pace. Each one seemed to be loaded with young girls and mid aged guys. Each blasting music louder than the one next to them... This dead little rock starts to come to life.
My marina was overbooked and I needed to move this morn. A parade of maybe 50 or more Sea Rays headed up channel to Bimini bay all throwing monster wake in the no wake zone. Nothing new. I pulled into Big Game Club and man! They have done an amazing job restoring it. Staff super friendly and facilities razor sharp.
People partying and dancing. Live band ready to kick off in a while. This is the Bimini I remember. I can't help but look over my shoulder at the center consoles and jet skis driving crazy and worry that before the weekend is over that more people will be hurt by "can't happen to me syndrome"...
But for now its the sounds of the the Island living and breathing that has my full attention. The blenderrs are buzzin and I didn't know there were so many Jimmy Buffet songs out there. Goombay punch guzzled by the gallons, conch getting cracked and scantily clad girls getting frisky in and out of the water...

ya know... I was thinkin the same thing... Wifi is a bit better here at Big Game so uploading a touch easier... Tryin to figure how to shoot a set of "bows and sterns of bimini"without getting slapped... Think if I tell them I'm the official SFC rep that will save me?
Gotta be careful if I do. Some of it I think is jailbait. Also some of it falls into what happens in bimini stays in bimini category...
I'll see what I can come up with...

well its becomming an all out invasion. One problem is that hamburgers ar outnumbering the tenderloins at a 2:1 margin. Gold chains and big guts starting to flood in numbers...
Jeeze... I can't believe what some people are comming over in. 20' cuddies with eight people aboard are common place. Flats boats. A few came on Jet Skis!
Just waiting on the cannoes and kayaks to show... Managed a couple shots but not enough for a show... yet... Let the Kalik flow and the goombays do their thing and see if I can't get some better ones...
I don't think the girls would mind deep snappin a pic or two of roasters and racks but the boyfriends will be the challenge to get past... Kinda funny ... See boats comming in with say three guys and eight girls... No doubt thinking they're gonna get super lucky. Bottom line is they're more likely to pass out from too many planters punches and never get past the first lucky...

My native sweeties at the ready to start servin up goombays by the gallons...

Then they came... in small boats...

    Then bigger...

    Then a lot of em...

    Fast boats...

    Big boats....

    On the land...

Or in the water... They was everywhere!

Lee I've been stalemated at 3/4 down of what I was smoking for a couple months now... That bottle isn't mine. That I'm ten years clear of but it is the national symbol and just seemed to fit...
