Question MCain is an underdog, he states today but will win in the last 48 hours

Am I the only one who thinks this is a gigantic asteroid on a path to hit Washington and the rest of our country? First of all, I would vote for several individuals who come to mind who are black, Colin Powell and Condeleeza Rice come to mind. The fact that Obama is black is not the reason I am appalled that he is presumed to be the frontrunner by fox news of all people, it is his muslim background and his middle name...is the majority on the country freakin idiots This is some serious chit here .We are at war with the people for gods sakes! In world war II we put the immigrant Japanese citizens in internment camps I think was the term for them. I think that was a horrible idea. I also believe in that time a person of first or second generation japanese descent would or should not be elected commander and chief of a nation at war with his/her cultural and or religous beliefs. His daddy was a muslim, thats enough for me. Even if he is a babptist, that Rev. Wright crap sealed the deal, he hates america. If Obamma missed that in 20 years of sermons, hes either deaf or too stupid to lead this country...

We were at war with the Italians, yet 17 years later elected a Catholic as our president??????

We fought the Vietnamize but no hatred to Buddism???

We were at war with the Germans and at the same time entrusted German natives with out most sensitive secrets (Mahatten Project)?????

why the bigotry to someone who's Kenyan father was a non practicing Muslum??????

    The Democrats

are the only party to get involved with the racial question. McCain will have no part of that argument.

My objection to Obama is purely on substance. His consistent refusal to allow any discussion of enhanced energy production in the United States is to me , his principal flaw.

It is unclear to me why someone would seak to weaken the country he wants to lead. Who is behind this effort?

I don't hate Obama for his color or his father or his religion(I don't believe he has one). But I don't buy ,for a second, his rhetoric about "rising above party politics" His voting record shows him to be the most partisan Senator in Wash. and his proposals so far are as extreme left as it gets.(Please explain exactly how a windfall profits tax will bring down oil prices)

McCain, on the other hand, has to get off his ass NOW! If I were a betting man smart money says he has already lost.
Right now he has start beating the domestic production and nuclear developement drum as loudly as possable. It's his only chance.

Well Cliff and Bert, I agree with every thing you say as I too support McCain. It would seem rather easy to discredit Obama's Energy proposals, but McCain needs to get off his butt and set forth a concrete energy platform in this campain. Thus far, McCain's campain lacks substance of issues that are most important to the voting masses--- it reminds me of Gerald Ford's Campain against Carter.
Right or wrong, the biggest two things concerning Americans right now are Iraq and energy costs. Each have their own positions on Iraq, so it would seem a well developed energy plan is crucial.
Again, right or wrong it is well known that McCain is environmentally friendy (as far as Republicans go), so it would seem he better come up with a position ( a concrete plan) soon on what to do about the single most important issue to Americans today--- sweeping it under the rug ain't going to cut it for this election.

I can see all sides on what has been said. I don't get the "warm fuzzies" from either one. But my biggest concern is experience, cut and dried. At some point Obama may get some but he has little now in my opinion. You don't hire an apprentice this week and make him CEO next week. Isn't that what we're being asked to do? Glenn what do you thnk?

whoever takes the next 4 is in for a long haul!

this economy is screwed up, our welfare is screwed up (being some families still work and get $ and every islander seems to be able to get a ss card even though they don't live here..) the next 4 years we do need the local governments to quit spending stupid $ to pad thier own retirement (yes I said our local government is sometimes corrupt!) the foreign affairs are a mess, and we need leadership. i believe McCain can do the job I just wonder how old he will look at the end. down here we have families loosing thier homes, crazy taxes and insurances, and road work 1/2 finished. Let alone we now have it where if you sell drugs you make $ and if you get caught...no problem your out the next day. The oil thing is not going away but we can make it better. just wish that these last months will go by soon. I do also hope Bush will take his banner of 'mission accomplished' home with him! I do wonder if he had to buy his flight jacket??? by the way it is amazing how much fuel I am saving by just useing my head out fishing and you have to with the cost of fuel! hang tight all it will be ok. experience should be what puts a man or woman in office not just what family or what color you are.

FOR THE LAST TIME!!!!!!!!! It wasn't Bush's "Mission Achomplished" banner, it was the ship's and crew"s. They where coming home from another deployment, an aircraft carrier with hundreds of sorties. If they want a banner, I'll spring for the next one! They all deserve it!!!! I remember coming back to an empty pier, God Bless them. Bush never even refered to the "Mission" being achomplished. That was our "Great Oz" media putting their slant on it. Too bad some bit the bait. I don't agree with everything that Bush has or hasn't done. But at least He has made visits to the troops and saliors, at least on one occasion (that I can remember, without fanfare) flying into Bagdad ( A Hot WarZone!!!!!!!!!). I can't remember anyone else doing that. Closest thing we've had is Hillary landing under "sniper fire". Hind sight is always 20/20. I have to go take a sedative now! Chill'in is gonna be good.

    Point by point...

#1.First off it's 17 years later, and i have never heard of a catholic woman strapping c4 to her bellythen walking into a crowded bus or retauraunt and blowing herself up along with a thousand other men women and children.

#2.I have never heard of a Buddhist woman strapping c4 to her bellythen walking into a crowded bus or retauraunt and blowing herself up along with a thousand other men women and children. They have done some heigneous. Nothing like the muslims.

#3.We did not elect them president or even consider it. And again the suicide bomber thing. It's not like it is an isolated incidant .

#4.I am not a bigot dude, i am a realist. That is one more thing that is screwed up our whole image to the world. Were so afraid to hurt smeone elses feelings. Being the most civilized and courteous nations in the world and as far as I know the only world super-power in history may well be our undoing. His father is a muslim, we are at WAR with a two nations whose population is 99.9 percent Muslim. That is enough for me

If you have anymore, please feel free to ask...

    Mike
