The "ship" is SFC. There's been a huge dis-connect since the legendary fallout on here. I see "views" when a new post is put up, but no conversation going on. I can't help but think that the vast majority of "views" are from old, now not engaging members. Who is Admin now -a -days, don't hear anything from him? What is his desire from this site currently? Is it just a hit mill? There seems to be little or no course or direction anymore. This was the first "site" I ever joined, didn't go lookin else where either. I have been to some of the "other" sites just to find myself coming back here Why? I just don't feel as welcome or as much a part of the others. I don't know if this is the natural course of these sites, just is discouraging to me. This place was just plain jammin! I'm not alone here, I get PM's from other members that see the same thing I do, but don't know what to do either. How about some thoughts here Admin?
I remember not too long ago when getting home, I'd turn the computer on to see what hornet's nest Hubris and GlennW stirred up that day. Generally wasn't I disappointed either. I had "heated" words with both of them, but over time grew to know, like and respect both. The best thing I've heard on here lately was WCL's joke about the "teenager dating the pharmacist's daughter". As prolific as WCL is, he still can't carry this site. How about BigJay, he disappeared about the same time LowTide showed up (I still think those two got "something" goin on). Tenacious hasn't been on here for awhile. TeddyP, well I think he pissed his boss off "up North" and they sent him down here to NC for punishment (still haven't figured out what NC did to his boss to deserve such treatment). There are so many "quality" guy's that just don't post up anymore, that I can't even recall all the names. Well we still have LongFisher, I still believe he's an inmate somewhere that get's computer priviledges for good behavior. NautiDuck, gone, etc.....
By the way, has LuckLady had that baby yet? If it's a boy, I think "Frank" would be a good name. Don't get any idea's, I've been out of the baby business for awhile now. But if I "was" still in the biz, ah never mind. How about Tim, is he still flippin' burgers down at the boardwalk? I really don't want this place to fade away, that's all I'm sayin'. rumor has it that Andrew Brown of the infamous World Cat/Powercat group has purchased the site and is letting it die like some of the boat lines he has picked up.

Now it could be that guys are out fishing, but if they own a WC like mine I highly doubt it. I'm hitting steelhead in the am but it is definitely not in a WC. Hard to beat fresh alder smoked steelhead on the grill!!! Too bad we don't have smell-a-vision!

seapower- I share some of your points/feelings. I chime in occasionally when I've had one too many or inquire to the experts for advice but the decrease in responses doesn't seem seasonal to me. I hope the interactions pick up!

Well written post Frank. You are right things have definitely changed since the "legendary fallout" and I don't think for the better. I still like this site but it is not as much fun as it once was. I see Tenacious posting more on Facebook than here. You threw out quite a few names in your post. You know we used to see Mary posting alot of stuff but rarely do I see her posts anymore(What is the part of her being pregnant?) Is Jer still here or did a big catfish pull him in the Amazon? John only pops in once in a while. Things seemed to start changing when whowantstoknow left followed by La Gringa and came to a head when Deep was banned and BOX left. Deep is back and BOX took alot of his followers with him. Sites evolve and change as this site has but one thing that would help is to have more of the lurkers on here to post more and bring some new blood to the site. I also think Facebook has taken some of the posters here since I am friends with alot of people I have met on here over there.

It's all about content guys.
The content is simply not here anymore. Nothing on wahoonbox other than Frank's boat remake, very few regular fishing report contributors on the offshore forum and very few laughs left in mix it up.

The sense of community we once had here is gone and along with it so have all the good, fun aspects of and most of the bad & negative.

It's a shame.

Yes it is a shame. I have met and fished with alot of guys from this site, and I consider each one of them a friend now. Biscuit, slip slidin, daley, Capt D, godfather lou, box, whitey, beats workin, cap josh, b Cartlidge, pino, sikorski, wound up, deep c, key lime, admin, sportfish staff, Tim T, etc. I miss those days

I'm still here but in full work mode and with out my truck, I head for work at 5:30 am to be there by 7am. 27 miles by water in the morning, work and then 27 miles back in the afternoon, yes my butt is dragging and I read more than I post right now. Next week, prefishing for Redfish action tournament in Morehead City, life is good, I think???
