To be perfectly honest Mark is the only one who can answer that. Never in a million years would we ask him to leave this site.
I was expecting to have him up to New Jersey this week to do my kids rooms but I guess that has all changed.

I wish him well if he has left but hope he did not make that decision.

Not sure if this helps. I placed an order and actually spoke with him last night. He says he has some new art coming out soon. That's all I know

Guys, I've been doing yard work all day...WOW it's nice to be missed!!

Many of you noticed that several post and my ads have been removed
from the site.
Not to worry I am still here and my site www.markraystudio.com is
always open for business.

John (SFC Owner) and I have a difference of opinion on how certain
aspects of the SFC store, shirts and stickers were to be handled.
So instead of airing all the dirty laundry I made the decision to step
back right now and take a break.

Who knows I may be back in full force soon but for now I invite all my
friends to continue to email and call. SFC and the members here mean alot to me. John it was a great idea to paint your sons room for his birthday and I was ready and willing.If I can help you in the future let me know.

Since Mark decided to say we had a diffrence of opinion witch I still have no clue what he is speaking of.

I would like to make it clear
Mark canceled his ad we did not cancel anything nor ask for him to

Mark asked me a week ago if we should do stickers.

I said heck ya sounds great.
He posted a thread with 10 stickers or so very fast.

Next thing I got was a message that his guy wanted 1 dollar a sticker.

Flat out Im not paying 1 dollar a sticker.

I would much rather find a company to die cut them in bulk so Mark could have a great supply of stickers at a better cost.

Since I was not able to get this all done asap Mark wrote me and said he thinks its best to Squash the sticker Idea.

Im sorry but asking me to do stickers and then with in a few days say you may squash the idea once you put it out to the members is nuts in my book.

Then Mark posts up all the same stickers for sale at 3 dollars a piece on his site.

Im sorry everyone I will say this flat out. I have always tried when I do something to do it right and unique.
Yes I told Mark since the stickers are now for sale with his name on it They have lost the appeal to me to use.

Sorry but I would much rather have something unique to the site.

Pages of people asked to get the stickers.

I have offered Mark Ray the world when it comes to SFC.

I have offered to put his entire line in our store.
Jer spent Over 20 hours this last week working on text and files.

Sadly it seems we have been here for 5 years attempting to make things happen but when someone decides they want to do something with us, if we dont get it done right then and there we are in the wrong.

I will no doubt Admit I have been away working on something that was very big for SportFishermen.com and Mark as my client loved his work and wanted to get behind the shirts and stickers.
But sadly it was all in wasted breath as Mark took his ball and went home.

Mark I think your a great guy and a great artist man, but I am posting this as your post again makes it seem that there is a problem.

As far as I can see is the only problem was time and getting items sold to bring in money now !

Sorry but I do want to make sure I do things right and do them with people who realize in biz that things dont happen over night.


I am sorry for even bothering to write this but I would rather the facts be in the public then any one guessing what happened.

There is more but sadly time was the only issue here.

Also Im sorry if you all dont agree with me that I was not happy to see the same stickers posted days after Mark annoucing new sportfishermen.com stickers.

I think i need to start some bad habits as this industry drives me bonkers.

Differences between people doesn't mean they can't be worked out. I never had the chance to explain why I changed the name on the stickers to my website address. I have sitting next to me here in my studio several new designs that I was replacing some of my older artwork that I had showed on the stickers. It was a mistake for me to post them ahead of time but I was looking for member feedback and really didn't expect the interest they recieved This new artwork was specifically for SFC stickers, shirts, whatever. I guess maybe I should have put that in my post so you would have known you were getting new artwork and not the art that everyone saw.
You said you wanted the store up and running asap, so I got things to you that you requested right away. I misunderstood you I guess. I apologize, I also wanted the best price and admit I know little about the printing industry. My guy was high on price on the full color stickers he told me because he said they needed to be on good vinyl and use good ink to get the colors right so they would last.
You ended your pm to me by stating that you would look elsewhere for your designs. I wanted to talk about all this further so ya I will admit the whole thing made me mad and I reacted on my emotions at the time and abruptly canceled my text ad and removed my posts.This whole thing ended up this way due to lack of communication and me misunderstanding your time frames. And finally, I only posted the comment about our differences because you made it sound like I dropped the ball on painting your kids rooms.
Enough said, I admit I problably didn't go about alot of this the right way. I was pumped about you using my stuff on this great site and kind of ran with it. I'm mission minded once I know something needs to be done I tackle the issues at hand right away and move on to the next thing. [B]That being said I want to apologize to all the members and to John for this thing rearing it's ugly head sort a speak. Maybe this should have been a pm, but I as well as you John, I think the members should know what was going on. John I'm sorry this ended like this... Good Luck, Mark
