    Maritime Law

is anyone on here well versed in maritime law? I've got some questions concerning issues with a previous employer concerning reimbursement for travel fare and other expenses.

If the expenses are related to a boat, and you can convince a judge that they are legitimate, you can have an order posted on the boat that says, in effect, that the boat cannot be moved until they are paid or resolved.

This tool has been used by marinas and boat supply companies when there are disputes concerning payment for goods or services.

i was told by a friend that is an employer hires out-of-state crew and said crew ends their employment earlier than potentially planned, that the employer has to pay there way back home. just wanted to check the validity of this
