    marine diesels,What's your pick?

If you had a very large bank account, and were building a 65' sportfish, what would you power it with, and why? Cats, mans, mtus, luggers, etc.

Cats iguess man is a prety good motor though some seem to smoke alot. Mtu ain't bad now that they have the sequential turbo problems under control. Luggers are really dependable not sure how high there HP goes to though. My pick would be CAT 60 and under C-18's above 60 C-32's. With Twin disc gears.

dead on trophy, in the 56 we have the 12 cyl, 1550 hp. when those preheaters went down, well needless to say, cleaning the stern was not fun.

Think you can get a lemon in all of em

I would have to go with the new cummins....... Very efficient and power to size. I've run mans, DD's Cats and now have a Lugger which is user friendly, But my vote would still be the new Cummins!!
