Made it half way to Key West

Brand new boat. Best electronics known to man. Shiny new MAN engines just blessed by the MAN man. Boat loaded for a couple months of weekend trips, leaves home at 5:00am so the wife and I could be tied up at my slip at Oceanside Marina by noon, enjoying talking with old friends, and enjoying a mohoito made compliments of the Eskimo ice shaver filling the fish box and OHOH, what’s that noise? ALARMS!!! Everywhere. Shut down, I looked into the engine bay and *^&%$#$$, there is an inch of antifreeze sloshing around and splashed all over the real shiny gelcote that Cabo brags so much about. Trip over. The port engine lets me idle, the starboard is a big extra weight for the poor port engine to labor over, to Naples FL, where I bought the boat. At least it is shorter by 30 miles then going all the way home. Lets see, get my calculator, 7 goezinta 65 a whole bunch. Sunday at 3 in the afternoon, there ain't a MAN guy alive on a big football weekend. Nothing is obviously wrong, except the butcher shop blood splattered red floor and walls covered with ridiculously expensive antifreeze( did I mention these are MAN?) Anyway Hope to back underway next Friday. Oh yea, the boat has enough dried salt to fill a big salt shaker and is a lovely gray color from the up our rear wind blowing the now smoking port motor fumes from stern to bow. I will be cleaning boat as I wait for the Limo to bring the MAN man.

That Sucks. Just curious.....why do you keep mentioning that they are MANS? Every engine, new or old messes up for some reason or another. Its the worst when they are new I am sure. The boat I work on has the twin 1300's and we have had zero problems and we run a a good bit......knock on wood. Best of luck....keep us posted.

Every engine has its downfall and they all blow up if you run them hard. Look at all the problems Cat is having. We have 8cyl 800hp MANS and have not had any problems yet.

Welcome to man ownership. The 8 cyl. 800's are great, the 10 cyls. smoke like hell and everything else breaks.Did you buy the boat from Galati's?If so get it to the Anna Maria Island Galati's.They will have it navy shipshepe in no time.Mike Galati runs one of the top service yards in the world. You will not be let down. They really stand behind their products.About the salt spray.put sray rails on it, they really make a difference, they do make alot of noise when anchored though.
