Anyone else find humor in a bunch of people from various levels of education and experience posting here?

I thought bullying and threatening bodily harm to people stopped back in the days of Middle School?

If you refer to your "letter" post that Blah guy is new and was way out of line.. I don't know who nick threw the blast at but I don't think it was you. Blah though really needs to be deeped...

I don't see much threat of bodily harm flying... If I missed it let me know... I enjoy aimin to snap off a topsider in someones scupper once in a while but I never really want to hurt anyone.

ditto, when I first came on here it was all about fishing. They would not even get into a conservation disussion. I used to post pics and reports, ask questions and answer some. This statement will bring down the wrath of the yanks but, it is just a personal observation. When I have posted to a thread it seems like I kill it, when I have started a thread I get no response or a really weird reply as to say why are you here!!?? I don't think it comes from what one portrays be it a charter capt' mate or tourney angler, anyone can play a role behind a keyboard. Such as on here there are some that act as though they are big time but only fish a local pond in their backyard, nothing wrong with that all, I still enjoy that, but don't act like one is the bigshot when they are not. The other is, again it seems to me, that if you are not from a certain area you are shunned so to speak, areas in mexico ect. are accepted and of course the northen states NJ especially. I thought about comming up with another profile to say I was from NJ just to do an experiment but, I just can't protray something I am not: would have been interesting though LOL. Well there is my .02 for what it is worth. It will be interesting to see the responses from our northern friends, but then again this might be the thread killer

My comments were directed to whoever authored that letter. I can't say that I am pleased with those who constantly seek to bring political arguments to the site, either. The extent of malicious intend, bigotry and intolerance which has been demonstrated on this FISHING website during this political season was disturbing and hurtful to a lot of good members. We need it to end and get back to fishing content.

I was very reluctant to respond to this thread, but to hell with it, I'm going to because I think some important points are made here. I don't know about a "Jersey" connection (and I'm an old Jersey boy myself), or any other regional-oriented groups, but there do appear to be some "cliques" here that tend to ignore too many well-intentioned posters. I have been a member here for a long time now and I have seen much of what you are talking about, plus some people who are consistently harrassed by what appear to be certain groups for various reasons. The result is the site losing some very fine members who simply will not put up with the childishness, rudeness, or the turned backs. I for one have heard way to much of that stuff from people who have left, or who have been intimidated to the extent that they only lurk, and do not post anymore.

This is a wonderful site that J and J have put together. The meaness and vituperation and cold shouldering do nothing to help it, though, and I for one would like to see it cease. Everybody should be equal here and thoughts and ideas and questions should flow freely. This great site would be an even better one if that were the case.

So anyway Im going back to the other part of the site.

Around April I will read mix it up again, once cabin fever chills out it usually has some great content.

Oh ya, you guys and wahoonbox have had years of bullshit.

So why post in his forum? I mean I know if I gotto some websites that im not liked by the guy who runs the forum that I will have trouble. So I post in other forums on the same site and have no issues.

Well any way to each his own gonna go back to enjoying Martin Luther King day.
