Thanks Guys! She had a great life and came along at a time when I had tons of time on my hands. We hunted all over VA,NC,Iowa,WVA. She ran so hard that in the season she was one big scab from blazing through brairs. My family all called her "the nose". A great dog! She will be missed!

    Memories never fade

Sorry to hear about your huntin partner.

I think back to a bird dog I had in my late teens. The runt of the litter, mixed breed shorthair/lab mix, but she could smell a pheasant like no dog I ever saw. Spent many years hunting the Sacramento area, often where Arco Arena now sits, and I will never forget the way her body language would change when she got on a bird. She would hold em down on point and if I missed the bird she would sit down, look over her shoulder at me like "come on dummy! I found the bird, the least you could do was shoot it. How hard is that?" Then she would sit and sulk until i told her to "go find a bird Zig" ! Then off she went.

Great memories and the details never fade away of flushing and busting birds over foggy stubble fields.

Keep telling the stories and your hunting buddy never goes away!

    Costa,

Oh, I am so sorry. She was obviously special and I know it tears at your heart to have lost her.

But go look at some pups right away. And look for the one that she has picked out for you. The special ones never leave us without picking out another friend for us to share their lives and love with. They know that we need that and they know that there are dogs that need it too.

You'll know her when you look into her eyes...and she will know you. I'll be listening for the tails athumpin' away up at Rainbow Bridge when you find her.

    Hurry!

    they are all good
Saying goodbye to a loyal comapnion and old friend is one of the hardest things to do. 14 years was a good run and I am sure made for many lasting memories....RIP!
