Loop to Loop Connection for Wind-On

When doing a loop to loop connection from your mainline to your wind-on, how big a loop do you usually tie in your bimini?

    Loop

Make a loop any size you like. I stick with a 1 foot loop on my set-ups. Any size will do its just personal prefrence.

I do about 8 inches but to be honest I don't think it matters.

Thanks guys. Ive been tying them about a foot but the guy who showed me did them about three. I wasn't sure if a foot was good enough. So, thanks.

For the most part you can make them as large as you like but I like them as small as I can make them. I don't want my loop so big that a fin or tail could get in it and break the loop. I keep mine about 6" or smaller.
