Well, he might not want to be, but the fact reamains that it has been almost 14 years and I miss him very much. My brother and I both have had children since then and we dont want him to miss out on anymore of our lives. There is a long story behind the whole thing. I have been searching for him over the past year or so and no luck. I just thought I would take a chance posting on this site. I don't feel that it is "Way out of Line" to look for someone that I love. If anyone would like more information, to feel more comfortable about "revealing" anything that you know, just ask. Unusual post.........granted. but come on "family". I thought this was a "different" site. Whatever happened to asking questions and giving someone the benefit of the doubt. You all cast this person to the curb just because you're not informed enough. Box, you inquired about a homeless dude a while back from OC, MD. What gives you the right to do that?!?! Maybe he didn't want to be "found" either. What if he didn't want it known that he was homeless? Flat, you asked the most intelligent question on this post yet. You seem to be open-minded. And you should be proud of that.

And why would the person want to contribute after the responses she's gotten thus far???

This is not meant to be rude at all, but this is not the first time that i have gotten these kind of responses from people about this subject, what is it that is so wierd and disturbing?? Put yourself in my shoes, wouldn't you do the same?. When people go on tv asking other people for information on missing persons, everybody is willing to tell it all, this is the same thing I'm just not on TV. I am just looking for that one person that might know something. I do not mean to offend anyone here. And as for Maury, i doubt that would do any good, I have hired PI's that have turned up nothing. That is why I have began to post on the internet, it is world wide and I figured it is my best shot. Like I said before, there is a lot more behind this than him just "running away" one day. If you think you might have some info and feel like taking the time of day, I will be gald to tell all.

Box served with the guy in the Coast Guard many years ago so he was curious what was going on with the "homeless dude". Im sure if lookingforfish would have told the whole story in her first post instead of after people started to question the post then he would have reacted differant.

Hope you can find your father. I too think that you may have some better luck with some other avenues. Being the biggest and best fishing site in the world I can see where you could hope that someone could get the message to him. Hopefully the members on this site will open up their hearts and grant you your wish. But that being said, I think your first post should not be your last post and we would like to know how this turns out for you. Please come back and give us your stories, maybe the time you went fishing with your father!

Whitey, That's not how I read the post.... And I'm not looking to get into a pissing match with you bro. Just seems some can post stuff others can not based on post count. And you know what, being the rational human being that I am, maybe it does. But give people the benefit of the doubt and ask questions. Don't throw them to the cyber wolves.....

I still second what Box said. I don't know this is her father...Hell he may be some guy on the witness protection program and lookingforfish might be some mob hit man. The guy obviously doesn't want to be found and must be running from something. This post is way too weird to be a first post and crosses over into some dangerous territory in my opinion.

Lookingforfish- I think you need to figure a way to validate who you are and who you are searching for before I'm going to support anything you are asking for.
