    Looking for rugged outdoor lights

Hurricanes Hanna and Ike totalled all our outdoor light fixtures. We have a combination of post mounted and wall mounted fixtures. Does anyone know of any serious outdoor deck and porch style lights? Something that a little 135 mph breeze won't break, and that doesnt mind a little salt spray from time to time?

    Thanks

I was checking these out in Vegas this year and they are freaking cool.
They will hold up to alot of abuse but may be to much for what you need.
Glad to see you all have weathered the storms!

How much area do you need to light?
The paving style is good, but if its area that needs lighting then we need to look at some form of flood light. Different kettle of fish.

thanks for the suggestions, I realize I coulda been a little bit more specific. SO...here goes.

I need to replace fourteen of these things:

(that's one of four still holding together, and not for long)

and I need to replace six of these:

They are all falling apart, well, most of them HAVE fallen apart. I am looking for some lights I don't have to worry about. Be they plastic, bronze, brass, or stainless steel.

These were corroding away even before the storms of last week. Flimsy. NFG, as the maharashi say...

i am telling you man.. contact tahoe lighting.. or i can get you a catalog for the different lights they carry..

they are all awesome lights and hold up pretty darn good in anything.. all low voltage lighting.. you can wire them yourselve in a series and you can get all the stuff you need plus a timer to turn them on and off.. i wil send you a pic of the ones i got at my house tonight..

i can get the make and manufacturer of the floods we have on the side of the ship. they have worked and survived the wind and spray pretty well, except for the dozen or so that have been ripped off by walls of passing water

Ok now have an Idea Personally I would go LED put them up and forget about them plus side lower Electrical bills just as a start here is an idea It may be a bit modern judging from what you had before a very "Victorian feel", but the shape will not get blown away, just a jump off point, plus may pay you to use ground based up lighting for walk ways, can't get blown away

Hey, truth be known, I didn't like these damned lights the first moment I saw them. But we are wired for them now, and may as well replace the fixtures rather than just put covers over the boxes.
