Flatdog, I like the stainless lights, but they are UK standard. 220VAC and a different socket for the bulb. Unless I miss something.

We are US standard down here. Even though we are living in a UK territory.

12 volt ? transformer in the house ?
120, 240 who cares, trust me Led is the way to go, just posted that up to give you ideas on styles, must be some local ( state side) company that has something similar? you do not want to buy from UK anyway with the exchange rate at the moment. Plus if your power goes down you can run it on a suitcase Honda generator, if you were clever you would also do inside the house the same way, insurance claim? Then if crap hits the fan again, you are lighting wise, self sufficient!! Plus I assume you have a bottle gas, backup stove wise? For cooking. I would also have a gas, electric, mains and switchable 12 volt deep freeze chest, again as a standby, but thats me hate relying on others, out in the wilds

Check out, Accentlight.com, on left click on Hilite Mfg,
commercial grade, used on many restaurants on the Gulf Coast. Lots of cool fixtures, lasts for years and years.
