Exactly my point. There is no reference to any "denomination" in the Bible, much less religion. I have a way of putting "non-sense" to a quick end when it comes to "know it all's" of the religious sort, "show me where it say's that". I had a fella come up my drive way trying to push his point of veiw down my throat, I really welcome them if the truth be known. Point is, he got down to the part where he said "that only our denomination" is going to make it to Heaven. Well my reply was as stated before, "show me where it say's that in the Bible". We all know what happened to the conversation after that. I will not twist word's here, I said it as plainly as I can. No God isn't religion. If God is what you are after, read His Word (the Bible itself). By the way, (as you already are smart enough to know) all believer's aren't "snake oil" salesmen. Frank

Believers in the words you read in "your" bible = snake oil buyers. You probably watch the network news and read the US papers. Same concept with all 3. Good luck with that.

Believe it or not I don't even get the paper, never have. As far as the news I watch the local and the 1/2 National after that. I don't know what channels Fox, CNN, and the others are on. You see Teddy I worry about my house and those in it, learned long ago that I have no control over the rest. Sorry I don't fit the mold you're trying to put me in. I do believe "GOD" taps the Spiritual side of our being. Afterall, "GOD" or "GODS" (if you happen to be into MYTHology) have existed since time has been accounted.

I can only speak for myself, but as a SPIRITUAL person, I do concede to a GOD type spirit. Do I see GOD as a him? a her? Black? White? Asian? Hispanic? No. Do I see him as a big white dude with a white ZZ Top beard? No. Unfortunately RELIGION has cast the image of a whatever you see... I see a Spirit, and sometimes, that Spirit has a nice tan, long legs...usually a brunette of mixed ethinic backgrounds with a smokin' body and dressed in a simple, tight fitting black dress with the skirt cut mid thigh...and a smile that puts me at ease. (that's for the times when I'm giving thanks)... other times, I see a more direct, "sorry about your luck...learn from it" type of dude who needed to bust my skittles for stepping outside the line. We have our heart to heart and go about our business... after all, he is busy and I'm not THAT bad a guy.

Nothing about religion... always a spirit.

It just comes natural. But no where in the Bible does it mention denomination's. What you guy's are refering to as "religion". That's man's idea of "improving" something that can't be improved. God's ideas are really pretty simple when you get down to it, maybe even too simple in our minds. We have a problem accepting it for what it is, so we add and take away to fit our own ideas. There are many out there that make me cringe everytime I hear or see them. The fluke "Baptist's that hate fag's" and protest our soldier's funeral's come to mind. Problem is the media will focus on them so much (for a reason) so that the rest will believe all believer's are fruit cakes. I can give one really simple example, some hate any race but there own. You know the kind, then show up on Sunday in a 3 piece suit. No where in the Bible does it even refer to a man's skin color (to my recollection) except for the mention of the "Ethipoian Eunic". That man was lead to be Baptized. So please show me the hate.

If you're gonna make an arguement, get the fact's straight first. One more time for the slow, God didn't come up with the idea of religion. His idea is/was the Bible, we have added the rest. Enough said. Frank
