Need a little more info on your approach. The most effective way to catch em up is fishing on the bottom with green crabs or hermit crabs. I usuall rig up a #2 Gami hook held to the bottom with a fish finder rig. the amount of lead will be determined on how much the current is moving. Anchor up on the top side of the structure so your baits are just working the back side. Recon is 95 % of the game.

i'll be fishing a diamond jig with a fly dropper with braid. we usually drift so to cover more ground, but have anchored. my experience there, the current seems to always (well, not always) be moving. Have never used bait before in this area, just jigs with droppers. i've got a healthy supply of fish finder rigs and weight, as well as rigged 3ways(when drifting). thanks for the advise Madchark!!!

11B
I just got in from 11B -- I suggest going a bit more south over to eatons neck -- just follow the birds -- decent action on 20-30 inch bass -- a few 5-6 lb blues -- pretty much as many as u can handle. there are much larger blues to the west -- just off Stamford -- 15 lbs plus -- doesnt have to be fancy -- any jig will work -- let me know if you would like any additional info -- i fished high tide and the first hr of the ebb -- but both tides will produce
