The Lone Cedar Gone

Just saw on the news that The Lone Cedar on the causeway in Nags Head has burned down. Terrible Loss, lot of good times with family in there. Hopefully they will rebuild.

My family business deals with Lone Cedar. Talked to the head chef there this morning and they are going to start rebuilding as soon as the investigation of what caused the fire is over.

The other sad thing is that all of the original pictures of outer banks history that were hanging on the walls are gone as well, terrible loss for the banks and the Basnights. They were still putting water on it this morning when I drove by.

That is the third fire in three years on that causeway, first the Oasis, then a private home last winter across the street from Lone Cedar and now the Lone Cedar, strange indeed.
