Load Rite Boat Trailers Consumer Report

Well once again as a consumer in this industry I am let down again.

    The short or it.
I have a 12,500lb Load Rite trailer and I want a bigger trailer or better axles as my trailer does not have removable spindles.

Researched as much as possible this weekend.
Woke up and called Eastern Marine who I will say hands down is awesome. They are great on the phone and the store is kick ass. I love spending money in these type places.

The guy at eastern marine hooked me up with a axle company to check out. Sadly they really would not speak to me and said i need info from load rite.

So I tried calling load rite and saw that they are 1 hour from my home.

Heck I want to buy a trailer got money in hand. I understand that i can not buy from them but fact is the dealer I bought my 12k one from sold me something a little light.
So in my mind Speaking to Load Rite and getting good info would be smart then I could go to my local guy and order a new trailer or find out the info to put better axles under my trailer.

Education is all Im looking for.
Well I must say the gentlemen Carl was a pleasure.
Fact was he wanted me to speak to a certain guy but he was in a sales meeting.

So I said I would hang out as they would go on break soon.
Had great talk with Carl and hung out for over a hour.

I was pretty excited that I could speak to a expert and then order my trailer today and have it next week.

Well the guy came down from the meeting and sadly Carl came back to me and said im sorry he is unable to speak with you.

    Wow
Let me tell you something Load Rite. You had a consumer in your place who would have spent the money today at one of your dealers and all I wanted was good knowledge that I was buying the right product.

So maybe the next time you all have a sales meeting you should consider taking a couple minutes to speak to someone who wants to spend money at one of your dealers.

I never ask for anything in this biz but man its amazing how many of the workers had been on sport fishermen over the years but yet they would not even speak to me.
So heads up if your in the market for a new trailer make sure you do your homework and make sure they are willing to speak to you to help you buy the item.

So now I will refer to my other thread and hopefully find a good trailer to buy so we can haul our boat to all the tournaments we cover for our on the water coverage.

    God this industry sucks.

I hear ya and you are right every industry has it. But the marine industry over all has loved hiding behind print and us not having many choices.
Now atleast we can research world wide and find others who can deliver the same thing.
In my mind it all comes down to customer service.
