    LIVING TO FISH..........

Everyone always says that they live to fish or are addicted to fishing. List 5 or more reasons this statement is true to your enjoyment in fishing.....

    Mine are:
    1. The beautiful sunrises & sunsets.
    2. Enjoying the beauty in all species of fish.
    3. Fishing on big, beautiful boats/yachts.
    4. the sights & smells of being on the water.
    5. the comradery.
    6. Th enjoyment of seeing first timers catch first timers.
    7. Enjoying good dinner meat.
    8. The sound of big diesels running hard or easing into the slip.
    9. The "snap" of multiple lines being stripped from the clips.
    10. The hours of boredom squelched by the minutes of mayhem.

Raising those flags up the rigger as you come into the inlet while watching the sunset.

Seeing tuna blow up on your flatine baits as they spray water all they way into the pit.

Watching a lit up White Marlin cruising behind a flatline right before you stick his ass.

    Making new friends.

This list can go on and on.

Seeing a fish rip accross a flat in 8" of water.
    The hunt...the stalk.

Sunrises and sets. Molas, baits schools, free jumping pelagics
The deafening noise of the boat coming off of plane after hearing the engines running hard on the way out.
watching dolphins and porpoises slapping the strip teaser and trying to eat the bait strips
The sound of water slapping the hull and spray coming off the chines on the ride out because of calm seas
The surging pull of an old drum when it realizes it is hooked
Snap of rubber bands and flatline clips
    Hearing the drag scream
The flailing sound of the fish in the box!
Watching the spool of line go nuts when a fish hits as your letting out a bait.
Watching first time fishermen trying to hide their grin while fighting a fish
Watching a fish come back after a bait when it misses and seeing color changes on them
Seeing pec fins tuck in and the burst of speed of fish when it recognizes lunch

Most of all, watching the entire crew on the boat go frantic when it goes from zero to complete chaos in a matter of seconds on a multiple hookup!

I could go on and on

watching a lit up white marlin come in like an f-16 on your teaser or dredge.

the rumble and shudder of reverse on a billfish.

a blue marlin come out of a grass edge then light up just before piling on the short rigger mack.

the sight of boats goin by cape lookout and oregon inlet bridge.

the fulfilment of running up a rigger full of laundry as you make the turn at the inlet.

being with friends and meeting new ones along the way.

the words big blue marlin better give her another 200 back cap.

The feeling when your balloon goes under.

    The smell of tuna blood

The taste of the rum and coke at the end of the day
