I started using the Momoi diamond blue and really like it. I think you see it better when trolling but it still disappears as well or better then clear in the water.

IMO it is so worth it to put 80lb dacron or 130 lb jerry brown hollow core spectra backing on your 50's.... fill 3/4 of the spool and this will last for years and years, and it becomes much cheaper to change the mono on top. Plus you improve your reel capacity.

Trolling and chunking = clear. What do you mean THIS YEAR? Don't miss out on a golden opportunity due to a tackle failure. Change your line every year. Don't forget to rerig your spreader bars and lures as well. It is a major misconception that these things are rigged for a lifetime of use. Inspect the leaders and rerig as needed.

That is a good idea Box... I may try putting some different color lines in my pool and see what stands out. Not sure it will make a difference though cause the pool is so clear, while the ocean is not. I expect clear to be the least visible in the pool... but in the ocean it would not surprise me if blue or pink is less visible... or even something like Hi Seas quattro.

We don't have the same eyes as a tuna so I'm not sure that what we see translates to what a tuna sees.
