As a blind guy..... I'll need one with electronics.... Auto pilot captain with ALL the brains from this site, some "autotons" with the brains from most of tis site, and a very large box to hold the catch... LOL (A smooth ride at a low cost would be just icing on the cake!)

Fuel will top $4/gal this year you might want to have Cummins Diesel motors and an efficient hull.

nice dry hull to start out with. nobody likes to be wet. then single diesel power with these ridic fuel prices. then fishability.....

Fish ability to me first, if she don't pull fish, its just a ride.
Nice ride would be next with enough flare, for those days the weather changes quicker than the weatherman says.
With all the new motors out . I think efficiency is only going to be in your choice of cruising speed for your vessel.
The over all layout of your cockpit is a plus for fish ability as far as room, for ease to jump around to get to your equipment quickly!

...Ride, fuel economy, pit space but for me, it's lot'sa storage space as I seem to always over pack for a trip, so I need a boat wth storage compartments in every conceivable place......
