The leading cause of a societys downfall comes from war..spend till theres nothing left. In 2006 the US spent 667 Billion for defense..in 2010 we spent 685 billion..forcast 1012 budget..ready?..1 to 1.4 TRILLION..Dont know about you,but i think ,given our econemy..thats nuts.

Do a search for Mohammad Rezā Shāh Pahlavi, he was on all the networks back in the day. And suicide bombers have been blowing themselves up since the 11th century (try 'suicide bomber history'). And the majority of attacks between 1980 and 2000 was by Tamil Tigers. They're in Sri Lanka, not exactly camel country.

Well Dow futures are up this morning, so Raytheon will be happy, all those flying Patriots will have to be replaced....creating jobs?.....Suicide bombers, at least they only do it once....as for the politics of it...we need a female president, a mother, someone who values the lives of our sons and daughters, so we can get them home from across the world....and I don't mean Hillary...I spent the day at a Marine Corp Yellow Ribbon Cermony yesterday, my son is mobilizing for bum **** Afghanistan, now there's a real threat to the United States...I say bring the guys home from all these meaningless endeavors and line them up along the Mexican border, where there is a threat you can wrap your head around.....as for Libya, I believe that will be a short lived Naval escapade.....after all we'll be deferring to the French, now that's a handy piece of strategy right there......

I'm with you there, let's take the billion or so we give Egypt, and how many million a day for Iraq and Afghan, and the 10 billion we send to Korea, and spend them here at home helping our own folks keep their homes.......

The Ayatollah took power in 79'. I never said he took over Lybia. Actually, history recounts that Jimmy Carter flew the Ayatollah on "Airforce One" from I believe Jordan, or Beirut where he was in exile, and dropped him in Tehran. The Shaw was overthrown and Khomeini took over.

As for the money we are spending in Lybia, if we took that cash and divided it among each U.S. tax payer in the U.S. it would potentially end our economic problems as people would again buy goods and services and pump that money back into the economy. JMO
