Hi again I'm new to posting, and I seem to post in the wrong Spots. So I'll try again.
I've fished Australia's big blue Ocean for some thirty years.
Spanish Mackerel / Yellow Fin Tuna, and a huge quantity of Pink Snapper and Red Emperor, Were our main catch, along with an occasional Sale Fish.
Now Family comes first, so my fishing has become more local, meaning fishing On a budget ?.

If this post finds the right spot, I have plenty to share on Fishing ( Near by ) Reefs. Surf Fishing. and stories that would make for great, What Not to do Video's when you go fishing.

Hi Guys, Well if I can do this a third time, I'll be happy

I see all to often, people head out in their boats and drop anchor as soon as they see fish on their depth sounder, The result " nothing ".
In my experience, if those fish on the sounder aren't sitting just above a reef, They are simply passer by's, You might jag one in the tail through luck, But generally they are searching for a new home, Not at all interested in feeding until they find that home.

My tip, If your bottom fishing, Forget the fish on your sounder, And put your efforts into finding Reefs, Much more satisfying.
Can be hard work, but well worth it.
When you do find a Reef, mark it on your must have GPS, and name that marking by the fish you catch, then go find a another Reef Yippy !

Am I posting in the right spot for this style, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well I'm not the sf.com police, but Mix It Up & Introductions is just that...so yes, this is perfect for your first. There are NUMEROUS other forums depending on the topic i.e. jigging, big game, items for sale, etc...when you login go to the main forum, browse the different ones, find the one most appropriate to your topic and then post away!!!
