LET US NOT FORGET

What happened on this day six years ago. Let us not foget the innocent lives that were taken that day for no other reason than they were American. These radical extremists hate us. They hate our freedom. They hate our way of life. They hate that we are free to make our own decisions. They hate that our women are free to make their own decisions. They hate that they hold no power over us, that we are not like the people whom they terrorize daily, and that we will not relent to their beliefs or their tactics.

We are a country at war. Let us not forget the lives of the soldiers who have given everything, or the families who have stood behind them as they have walked out that door and directly into danger. Let us not forget the many soldiers that continue to stay in harms way every day so that you and I can live our lives without fear that another jetliner will come crashing into it.

God bless America, god bless the armed forces, and may Bin Laden soon come to understand that we will never forget.

Man, seeing that picture just makes my blood boil

My brother was a Futures Trader with Prudential Securities, specializing in the Asian market. He managed the overnight desk and had stayed at the office til a little before 9 that morn. He was walking to the WTC to catch the train back to his house in Hoboken NJ when the first plane hit.

He saw the second plane hit.

We didn't hear from him until 10:00 PM that nite; we tried to contact him all day long, with no success. We feared the worst. Then the phone rang and his cell phone number displayed on the caller ID. We thanked God and breathed a collective sigh of relief.

Til this day, he said he still thinks about seeing that jet going into the WTC. And about his best friend and mentor, Pete Ortale, who perished that day.
