Let me make something clear

I hope everyone around here has a Merry Xmas.
Over the last 24 hours I have received a few emails and phone messages stating a couple things that I would like to clear the air on.

I was emailed asking why in the world would I say I was going to make changes to a certain forum around here.
Answer: Never ever stated that
Never put a women in place to make any changes never threatened to do anything.
Fact I asked our staff to stop everything they were doing. Get in the trenches speak to people find out the core problems and see if a resolution can ever happen.
NOTHING ABOUT CHANGES
When you all read what you read on the public forum you read 1/8 of the real deal.

Let me ask you a question.
If a member on this site sent pms to you and insulted you, cursed you out etc. Then on the public forum acted nice nice.
Would you just walk away or maybe stick your nose in and publicly stand up for yourself?

Now if you publicly stood up for yourself and then got beat on harder in pm's and also degraded in public would you think this is fun?

Well so many around here that I personally have been screamed at to toss of this site because they bother someone can produce some really horrible pms and emails.

So as the owner of the site and or the staff what the frig are we supposed to do?
Ban the guy who has been beat on in private over and over because he stands his ground in public?

I have been asked to ban people like chuck hinchcliff, Bill Pino, Hubris, Fred Archer, CapeFishermen and the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on.

Now I spent 6 years dealing with it. Sometimes NOT dealing with it.
WHY SHOULD I BAN MEMBERS WHO ARE GETTING COMPLETELY DEGRADED BEHIND THE SCENE?

I eat crow everyday! I sometimes want to freak out but since I am supposed to be a representation of a decent person I bit my damn tongue and take the high road.

For years and years I am personally attacked that I dont do anything. How can i just ban people because one person says so???????????
If one person wants people banned shouldnt that person take the high road ?
And if that person says they took the high road, let me tell you that taking the high road does not mean on occasion.

It means being in the public requires taking the high road just about all the time. Not part time.

So if you want to question me on why I dont just listen to certain people and ban all these members when demanded should i ask those poeple to start posting on this public forum the pms they have recieved over the years?

I have been called every name in the book. I have been called a liar, I have been called greedy. I have been told I was going to change things. Get the facts straight. I have done nothing but not ban people somone wanted banned.

Oh and some of you that are such huge supporters have been on that list on occasion.

Oh damn think about that on OCCASION... Hold up.. I can not ban people because some chooses to not like you one day. As history has shown that you may be on the outs for a day a month a year. But history has also shown that the people im asked to ban also made it back into the inner circle.
So if i would have pushed the ban button because i was told to and then your brought back into the inner circle I really will end up with a **** load of people hating me for absolutely no reason.

Now for those of you that think its about clicks.
You are wrong !!! For me it was and is about content.
Sadly when people who are supposed to set and lead by example choose to spend the time lighting fires and expecting me to put them out it got and gets very hard for me to find any balance.

I have sat for hours with friends of certain people and those certain friends tried so so hard to make it work. Make people understand. So those of you that hear what your hearing need to really just do me a favor.
Think real hard who do you really know?
Do you know me ? Do you know my heart? Do you know my true care level?
Will I admit frustration? Yes
Will I admit throwing my hands up? Yes
Will I admit that my loyalty to a certain person made me personally walk away as I had no idea how the hell I could even deal with him? YES
So I am a evil man.
Please you can think what you want. I can not change that.
Owning this site is not all cracked up to be what you all may want to think.

Clicks ?
This site is about search engines and search engines dont care how many clicks i get. It dont care how many pages get viewed. It matter how many people link to accurate content.
Yes content and good content.
Sadly if you actually understood how i actually attempt to make this work you would realize im in this for you guys.
As the correct content is what makes it work.
Not the bs.
Fact is Deepc is running around telling people that we dropped by hundreds of thousands of clicks dec of last year.

If deep was smart enough to understand what that was then he could spread proper rumors.
I am a ebay developer.

We have worked for years to make this site proper in the eyes of the search word. Good content is the only way to do that.

Now please think about this. If the content is strong and on target to the niche we can make money with out you having any real knowledge of what we are doing.
Fact is last fall a certain person in Nov went freaking nuts. Stirring the pot all over the place. Would not stop.
No matter how hard i tried no matter how hard staff tried.

Sadly the content went way off track. If I as a webmaster dont watch I can loose years and years of behind the scene coding work.
Fact is we removed my ebay work to save the value of our work.
Sadly that removed thousands of pages of content and thousands of people from my stats on Dec 17th of last year.

Now that work I did for ebay pays the bills. Dont effect members and keeps this place free and also the ability to travel and cover tournaments and not pressure people for advertising.
Fact is going into 2010 we dropped all that rev that paid the bills. Why? Well reality was I did not know if I should get ride of a huge list of members or one.
Fact is I could not make that decision.
So I went off and worked consulting jobs and did other work this year to provide you all a free playground.

I am not the average cat, my mission is not to screw the consumer. I am a consumer. I am a webmaster and know how to work for very large companies and produce them ROI.
My goal in life is not drama my goal in life is to make money to support things i love. My family, My friends, My websites with out screwing the consumer.

DO YOU KNOW ME? DO YOU REALLY KNOW ME?

Maybe ask around for the truth from those who know I give up my paychecks so they can have one.
Ask my wife what I give up for you all.
Trust me I think if you really start asking around to those who know me you may find out some other information.

I can not stop you from believing what you are hearing.
But i can be a adult and tell you if I knew how to deal with it fairly all these years I would have.
Sad truth is 98% of the time the other side made great points aswell.

So chuck me under the bus for attempting to make it work.
Call my home and call people close to me really foul names with out knowing the truth you make it very simple for me to make those decisions. I try and sadly on this I am damned if I do and damned if i dont.

So after you curse me and my family and my friends out it very simple to realize I am giving up way to much time, effort for no reason. Id rather be small with people who actually have reason and are willing to work with us instead of against us.

It was also very nice to see a few really great fishermen click back onto this site. So I have a good feeling you will watch this site over the next year flurrish with good content as so many in my eyes were chased off.

Remember one thing tons of people who made judgements found out years later they were wrong about me. Sad truth is I am still here and they write me begging to get back on the site. The net is a funny place. I am not perfect and that is why I dont just ban people. I study and study and try to understand both sides. But fact is my heart is in the correct place.

Also for those of you that just want to think what you think I ask you this. Before placing that judgement call me. Come to my office and sit with me. Let me show you what its all about and then you can decide if my heart is in the right place.
