"Lesson Learned" Grander Artwork

Well, it took longer than I wanted, but I just finished my first billfish painting from my studio here in Morehead City. A tagged grander sucking down a tuna instead of something in the spread. My easel sits in front of the window which is good and bad. Beautiful scenery, but my paint brushes are getting ruined from the dried paint caused by me staring out the window wanting to fish. Maybe I'll switch to oil paints, they take days to dry!

Looks like a "Masher" lure above her... Why would she hit a tuna with that in the spread?

Pretty stuff as usual Mark...

Deep C you nailed it! That is a masher. She didn't hit it a secound time cause thats what got her the first time! Notice the tag. Thats why I named it Lesson Learned.
I was wondering if you would catch that. Photo reference compliments of Canyongear

Smiles, well the two top YFT look like they are headed for a "new lesson"..nice job Mark, ya makie me proud.

Two brandie new "Mashers" are heading for St. Thomas on friday to catch the next moon. One in Purple Tint with all purple skirts the other is a "Petrolero" which will be a head scratcher for sure on St. Thomas. On this mission they will be in teaser mode only. However, a few long rigger baits will be in the fray, a medium swimmer and a large hawaiian plunger one of a kind.

Oh ya and a Zman blue flying fish bridge teaser.
