Leaning post, flip flop cooler or other

Center console. What do you prefer for a "seat"? Leaning Posts, Switch back cooler seat, dual seats. State your favorite and tell why you like it. I am very interested to hear what the board experts have to say about this topic.

    Thanks,

Bird, I think for your new boat the "Switch back cooler seat" will be way to low. Think you will need to go to a leaning post.

My preferance would be a leaning post

I spend most of my day standing ,I think it is better for your back to be able to flex at the knees

I also like having a portable cooler under it ,easier to clean and it is out of the way

The leaning post if positioned corrrectly will allow you to sit on when conditions are permitable and still have good enough vis over the console

I had a CC years ago with 2 chairs and they were nothing but a PIA. I replaced them with a leaning post ( not folding). I loved the post over the chairs. Another great benifit of the post is I had 4 rod holders in the post. I was able to run my long riggers the way they are meant to be run--- from the center post

leaning post. you can strap a cooler to the post, or put it underneath. seats are too low. plus, the post you can usually get a rocket launcher or something to the same effect. don't forget about the extra room for the feet.

Leaning post, I have the flip up/down so you can lean or sit on top and it has the pull down aluminum rail for your feet when sitiing on it. Also with the cooler under it and rod holders in the rear it makes use of all the space. The backrest is attached so you do not lose any rod holders and it flips up for additional storage.

leaning post i stand most of the day so i have moved my post to suit my style of fishing. its also much faster to move from that position than a sotting one.

I've had two CC's and the first had a cooler seat and it was too low. My new boat has a leaning post and it is the way to go. Have ridden on CC's with seats and they are the worst choice. No support at all.
