Stop staring at my Avatar.
definatly a leaning post. It is much more comfortable, as im sure you know, leaning up while driving and spoting fish. The leaning post will also be great (as already mentioned) to provide space for a livewell. Leaning post are definatly the way to go and you can even find some custom guys to make one that fits your boat as many leaning posts coming directly from the boat companys can be VERY exensive......have fun and lean away!

Anthony's Ark is a blowboater

I had the same problem when i bought my wellcraft. the factory leaning post took up a huge amt of room and was not practical at all. i took the whole thing out and picked up one from a guy down in Harkers Island. Tony Adams at Coastal Marine Welding. One of my best investments, it gives me 13 more inches on the deck and a place to store the cooler. Heres some pics.

Couldn't catch a mess of fish at sea world with a dip net.
Thanks for the input guys. I will go with the leaning post.
Thanks for the pics Jayjysmith. I like that design. Like that it has a back rest with the rod holders behind. That is a neat idea.
Now to find a leaning post.

I think Admin is going to let me have this space
Definately a leaning post. Seat always seem too high for some reason. Unless they're bolsters of some sort.
